The figure lay on the bed, back turned towards her, asleep.
This was her younger self.
Shu Yu suddenly furrowed her brows, this wasn’t her, this was...young Shu Yu???
She took a closer look, a look of astonishment crossing her face; it definitely was young Shu Yu, the Shu Yu from the Dasu dynasty.
So, she had arrived in the Dasu dynasty, but young Shu Yu had gone to the modern era, becoming her?
Shu Yu was utterly bewildered, but then again, young Shu Yu looked to be only seven or eight years old at this time, how could she have traveled back to her own childhood?
No sooner had this thought formed than Shu Yu smacked her forehead.
It seemed not so strange after all; hadn’t she herself traveled straight to the time when she was thirteen upon her arrival in the Dasu dynasty?
Thus, it was probably normal for young Shu Yu to travel back to her childhood.
Shu Yu couldn’t help but draw closer; this was also good, she had always thought young Shu Yu might have completely disappeared, to know she was still alive was an unexpected joy.
Shu Yu let out a sigh, straightening up slightly, her gaze inadvertently catching sight of the calendar on the bedside.
Shu Yu’s pupils contracted sharply; August 9th was the time her parents had been harmed, on August 2nd.

However, at this moment, young Shu Yu on the bed stirred, then sat up from under the blanket.
She looked around with a hint of confusion, her gaze not pausing on Shu Yu for a moment.
Before long, her eyes reddened, and she whispered softly, "Daddy, Mommy."
Shu Yu’s heart ached as she whispered, "They’re not here anymore, you have to take good care of yourself from now on."
Of course, young Shu Yu couldn’t hear her, she threw off the covers and, barefooted, ran toward the door calling out for her parents.
Noise came from the living room, and soon the bedroom door opened, revealing the faces of Mother Shu and Father Shu.
Mother Shu scooped up young Shu Yu in her arms, "What’s wrong? Why run out without your shoes?"
"Mommy, I just had a nightmare that you both left, and I was scared."
"Don’t be scared, Mommy and Daddy are here, we’re not going anywhere, we’ll be right here with our little Yu. Come on, put on your shoes, let’s go have something to eat."
Father Shu walked over to the edge of the bed to fetch young Shu Yu’s slippers, Mother Shu carried her to sit down on the living room sofa, then brought over the sliced fruit, and went to get her a small cake.
Young Shu Yu snuggled into Mother Shu’s embrace, taking a bite herself, then feeding a bite to both Father Shu and Mother Shu.
Watching this scene, Shu Yu was dumbstruck.
Her parents, they were still alive??
She couldn’t help but rub her eyes, then looked uncertainly again at the calendar in the living room.
It indeed showed August 9th, 20XX, no mistake.
She then gazed at Mother Shu’s lit phone screen, which displayed the same date, identical.
