The soft yellow light from the ceiling lamp spilled over him, as if it cast a golden halo around him.
The cool detachment faded from between his brows, replaced by the warmth that Qin Muni was increasingly accustomed to.
Qin Muni crossed her arms, leaning sideways as she leisurely watched Xu Yisen seriously cooking.

When Xu Yisen sensed Qin Muni’s gaze, he slowly looked up and, upon meeting her apparently admiring eyes, couldn’t help but curve his lips into a smile.
In that instant, the things around seemed to fade when his smile blossomed.

Qin Muni dropped her crossed arms and strolled over to the wine cabinet, taking out a bottle of red wine and deftly used a corkscrew to remove the cork.
