If she had left, then that meant she wouldn’t be able to enter the private room again. The bracelet would be lost forever. She took a deep breath.

Yao Tang glanced at them as if daring them to do anything else. They unconsciously staggered back, gazing at her in disbelief. There was something not right about this girl.

The men outside held onto their electric batons, watching their every move. It was as if they were going to attack any second. Qin Jing could only slump back in her seat.
She wanted nothing more than to save Yao Tang, but now, she had no other choice but to stand by. The men were watching her too closely. She couldn’t even move an inch away from where she was sitting.
Why were they treating them like prisoners?
Just then, Yao Tang pushed the door open and stepped inside.
“Stand down!” The men who had been standing around Lin Xin and Qin Jingraised their weapons up in the air, all directed at Yao Tang.
She didn’t seem bothered by the men. Instead, she tilted her head. “Get lost.”
The men all shared a look as if someone had been speaking into their earphones. Immediately, they put down their weapons and headed out of the door.
Lin Xin didn’t waste any time as she jumped from her sheet. “Sister Tang!” she exclaimed. “Are you alright? He didn’t hurt you, did he?”
She observed her friend’s movements and found nothing out of the ordinary. Despite this, she couldn’t help but be concerned for her.
“I’m fine.”
However, just as she was about to say anything else, her phone rang. Glancing at the screen, she realized that the call was from Lin Shuang.
Did something happen with the Shadow League?
With a frown, Yao Tang walked out of the room and answered the call.

At night, the lights at City A’s airport flickered from a distance. Its large windows reflected the city lights several miles away from them, highlighting its many wonders.
A handsome and noble man stepped off one of the planes, and he was immediately greeted by the manager. Everyone, from the pilot to the stewardess bowed in respect.
“Young Master Yang,” the manager murmured. “Please, if you’d come this way.”
“Hm.” He nodded and followed the manager all the way into the VIP Room. As soon as Young Master Yang was seated, he couldn’t help but glance at the elaborate design of the room and the high chandeliers that came with it. It was obvious that the airport paid close attention to its VIP passengers.
Just then, a man in a business suit entered the room.
“Young Master Yang, it’s about time we meet.”
Upon seeing the man in front of him, Yang Nian hid the surprised look on his face and shook hands with the sudden visitor.
“Director Xu, I didn’t know you work here.”
“Yes, it really has been a long time.” Director Xu chuckled. “How has it been, Young Master Yang?”
“I’m fine. I heard that the quality of teaching in No. 1 Middle School is very good.” He frowned slightly. “It’s why I applied for an exchange student spot in the school. I hope to learn from both the school and my surroundings.”

The manager frowned.
