Lin Xin’s face shone with pride. She straightened her back and leaned against her seat like a proud warrior who had won her first combat.
“Look.” Yao Tang turned her gaze back to Yang Nian. “If you apologize, then we can also make it up to you. Think about our offer instead of just shoving yours down our throats.”
He blinked, speechless.
“Student Yao Tang, you’re smart, but you can’t be too arrogant about this. Hearing you say these things so casually—what will you do if you couldn’t bring out what we requested?”

“I’ll propose what we need, and you have to deliver that by the afternoon. If you don’t, you have to take my compensation and do as I am told. What do you think?”
“Of course,” he added. “The person who proposes the compensation must also have that item.”
