Ye Wanwan heard what Shen Yi said and was slightly stunned, not expecting that Shen Yi would still remember what happened the night before last.
She truly had never doubted Shen Yi; in her past life, her paranoia had taught her a lesson.

Seeing Ye Wanwan lost in thought, and not knowing what she was thinking, Shen Yi propped up his upper body, leaned over to Ye Wanwan’s lips, and kissed her.
"Would you like to have breakfast now that you’re awake?" Shen Yi asked softly.
Ye Wanwan heard his voice and snapped back to reality, subconsciously nodding her head, and Shen Yi then sat up and reached out to help her up as well.
Together, they washed up and changed clothes, and after getting ready, they went downstairs for breakfast.
During breakfast, Shen Yi told Ye Wanwan, "I have to go to the office later, but I’ll come back tonight to have dinner with you."
Ye Wanwan nodded to show she understood, "Okay."
After breakfast, Shen Yi left for work. Ye Wanwan, seeing that the weather was still nice and the sun wasn’t too strong, played with Taozhi in the little garden for a while.
After some time, Ye Wanwan started feeling a bit hot, so she went back into the living room.
After lunch, Ye Wanwan went to the bedroom for a nap. When she woke up, she noticed that it had already grown dark outside.
Ye Wanwan was surprised. Had she slept that long?
The sky was almost dark, it must be past five o’clock, right?
Ye Wanwan rolled over and sat up, grabbing her phone, only to see it was just two in the afternoon.
She rubbed her eyes, as if doubting her own vision, and looked again. The time was still the same, it was indeed just two o’clock.
Was it going to rain outside, with the sky looking so dark?
But she didn’t usually pay attention to weather forecasts, so she really didn’t know it was supposed to rain today.
However, Ye Wanwan didn’t take it to heart.
Not long after, a heavy downpour began outside, with dark clouds completely enveloping the sky, as if night had fallen.
Lights were on in the villa. Ye Wanwan sat in the living room, where a servant brought her a plate of cut fruit.
Ye Wanwan held the fruit plate and ate bite by bite, but by the time she finished the fruit, the heavy rain outside seemed to be growing even stronger.
Ye Wanwan stood up and walked to the villa’s floor-to-ceiling window, where she saw branches being blown so hard they shuddered, and roses in the garden bent and twisted, likely not going to survive.
It was then that Ye Wanwan slightly furrowed her brows and a trace of unease crept up from within her.
Ye Wanwan sighed, turned around to look for her phone, intending to call Shen Yi.
As she waited for the call to be picked up, within that brief moment, Ye Wanwan’s heart pounded like a drum.
Was Shen Yi working in the office today or had he gone out?
She didn’t have the habit of checking the weather forecast, but Assistant Chen should pay attention to these things, right?
Plus if they had gone out, with rain , they must be trapped somewhere; they wouldn’t be foolish enough to drive on the road in such heavy rain.
