Assistant Chen worked closely by Shen Yi’s side, and when it came to work matters, there was nothing he wasn’t aware of.
Therefore, he knew that the reason for President Shen’s unhappiness these past few days had nothing to do with work. Since it had nothing to do with work, it must be something to do with his home life.
Assistant Chen didn’t want to pry into his boss’s personal affairs, but it seemed like President Shen was preparing to vent his bad mood at work.
For example, even if someone made a mistake in the past, if it wasn’t serious, President Shen would usually just point out what was wrong and then let them quickly correct it.
As for serious matters, President Shen simply didn’t want to waste words and would just tell them to get lost immediately.
President Shen’s mood had been so bad these past few days, it seemed like he wanted to tell people to get lost over every little thing.
So when Mrs. Shen came over, Assistant Chen thought of giving her a subtle hint, to see if Mrs. Shen could somehow help President Shen to not be so gloomy every day.
Ye Wanwan was very receptive, "It’s not because of work matters?"
Assistant Chen didn’t answer, but just smiled at Mrs. Shen, leaving the rest unsaid.
"Okay, thank you," said Ye Wanwan politely, then she prepared to go to the office. After taking a few steps, she stopped to ask Assistant Chen, "There’s no one in the office, right?"
"Only President Shen is there," Assistant Chen replied truthfully.
Ye Wanwan then walked over without any hesitation, knocked on the door, and without waiting for Shen Yi’s response, she already stepped inside.
When Shen Yi looked up and saw the visitor was Ye Wanwan, his gaze darkened upon seeing her appearance for the day. After several seconds, he said in a deep voice, "Come here."
Ye Wanwan really did walk over to Shen Yi, stopping in front of him and leaning against the office desk, looking down at Shen Yi from her higher position.
"Assistant Chen told me that you’ve been in a bad mood these past few days," Ye Wanwan said, and after saying that she seemed to feel it was somewhat inappropriate, so she added, "It has nothing to do with work."
Shen Yi looked up slightly at Ye Wanwan, and with pointed meaning, said, "I’m in a bad mood, and you don’t know why?"
At those words, Ye Wanwan frowned slightly, "What? Are you implying that the person making you unhappy is me?"
Ye Wanwan thought about it, what had she done? How had she made Shen Yi unhappy?
But upon thinking, she couldn’t recall anything she might have done that would upset Shen Yi.
"You don’t know?" Shen Yi’s gaze grew heavier.
Ye Wanwan still looked bewildered. She had been playing with Zhouzhou all day long; when was there any time to do anything that could make Shen Yi unhappy!
Just as Ye Wanwan was puzzled, Shen Yi raised his hand, grabbed her arm, and directly pulled her to sit on his lap.
Ye Wanwan, wearing high heels, stumbled as she was suddenly pulled by Shen Yi, losing her footing and scaring herself, thinking she was going to fall.
"What are you doing!" Ye Wanwan rebuked.
Shen Yi wrapped an arm around Ye Wanwan, his gaze burning as he stared at her red lips, then he kissed her directly.
"Mm!" Ye Wanwan widened her eyes, instinctively trying to dodge backward, but was pressed against the office desk by Shen Yi who kissed her forcefully.
It wasn’t until Ye Wanwan was almost out of breath that Shen Yi finally let go of her, and leaning close to her ear, he said in a deep voice, "Wanwan, how long have you been neglecting me?"
Ye Wanwan, leaning weakly in Shen Yi’s arms, couldn’t help but blush at his words. What did Shen Yi mean? Was this why he had been in a bad mood?
