"Yeah, I know," Shen Wenzhou replied, only then remembering the nightmare he had.
In the dream, his mother had not chosen to believe him but had become extremely angry about his "romance," scolding him furiously.
Shen Wenzhou didn’t know why he would have such a nightmare, where his mother was more than just distrustful.
She was crazed like an irrational madwoman, completely unwilling to listen to any of his explanations. It was a side of his mother that Shen Wenzhou had never seen before.

After breakfast, the family of three left the house together. The driver took Shen Wenzhou and Ye Chaochao to school first, then dropped off Shen Yi at his company.
"Brother, are you really dating Zhou Ruoyu?" As they walked to school, Ye Chaochao affectionately held Shen Wenzhou’s hand and asked in a secretive tone.
Actually, she had wanted to ask yesterday, but with their parents at home, she feared making her brother uncomfortable, so she didn’t. Now that she had the chance, she naturally wanted to get to the bottom of it.

"It’s the truth, I am not dating her," Shen Wenzhou earnestly responded. His mother had made a valid point the day before, that if he really were dating, he wouldn’t deny it.
Ye Chaochao let out a light sigh of relief, "Okay, actually, I’m not that fond of Zhou Ruoyu. If you were dating her, I might be a little upset."
"You don’t like her?" Shen Wenzhou was surprised. He remembered that Chaochao had met Zhou Ruoyu several times and seemed to greet her amiably; they had never had any conflict.
Ye Chaochao pouted, "Well, it’s nothing serious. Just the first time we met, the way she looked at me was strange. Nothing happened after that though."
"But you know I’m a bit petty, so I’m just a little bit unfond of her," Ye Chaochao said to Shen Wenzhou with a giggling smile.
Shen Wenzhou’s eyebrows slightly arched; he knew Chaochao was bluffing. If she didn’t like Zhou Ruoyu, there had to be a reason.
"Bro, I’m off!" They had reached the junior high section, and Ye Chaochao let go of Shen Wenzhou’s hand, running towards her classroom.
Shen Wenzhou stood there, waving at Ye Chaochao, then watched as she ran off before walking towards the senior high section.
Shen Wenzhou had always been a prominent figure at school, but everyone was used to it over the years. However, due to yesterday’s events, Shen Wenzhou once again became a hot topic of discussion.
When he returned to the classroom, some classmates who were on better terms with Shen Wenzhou loudly asked, "Shen Wenzhou, what’s the deal with you and Zhou Ruoyu? Are you really dating?"
Shen Wenzhou looked up and saw Zhou Ruoyu just arriving at the classroom door. He paused for two seconds before calmly stating, "No, it’s just a misunderstanding."
At the classroom door, a flicker of hope in Zhou Ruoyu’s eyes vanished at Shen Wenzhou’s words.
But she quickly regained her composure and walked in briskly.
