Ye Wanwan turned and walked in the opposite direction. When she reached the car, she knocked on the window, and the next moment the car door opened.
"What are you doing here?" Ye Wanwan looked at Shen Yi, who had just gotten out of the car, full of surprise.
"I sent you a message; I came to pick you up after work," Shen Yi explained.
"You sent a message?" Ye Wanwan was confused as she hadn’t seen it. She quickly pulled out her phone, opened WeChat, and scrolled down, indeed finding a message from Shen Yi from over an hour ago.
"I didn’t see it." Ye Wanwan felt a bit embarrassed; she hadn’t pinned Shen Yi’s chat, so other incoming messages had pushed it down.
"That was barely past four o’clock, why so early?" It wasn’t even time to get off work yet.
