The Military Punishment Team assigned to the Eighth Fleet squad leader had just activated Tenth Rank, clearly with the intent to kill.
"Damn it, open the door."
"The door is locked from inside."
"Use the ion cannon."
Suddenly, a fierce burst of light sliced through the door of the interrogation room, the terrifying destructive power shocking everyone on site. The massive security monitoring system of the deputy flagship started blaring alarms due to the excessive energy, and the female electronic voice began broadcasting.
Everyone only saw a shadow flash by, and the crazed squad leader in the interrogation room was already subdued, while Lin Fu’s Spirit Suppressor around her neck was also removed by Da Fu.
Fu Xing caught Lin Fu as she slipped from her chair.
By this time, Lin Fu could no longer even feel her own breathing, and Fu Xing felt as if his heart had been pierced by a hole. The unprecedented panic and loss forced him to close his eyes in agony.
"You’ll be okay, you have to be okay."
His voice hoarse, he held Lin Fu tightly and strode away. As he passed the kneeling squad leader, the chilling deathly frost in his eyes threw everyone nearby into a frenzied and uncontrollable vortex.
"Commander, please hand over student Lin Fu to us!"
The Chief Physician arrived with his team, which slightly calmed Fu Xing’s emotions.
All those around them looked as though they’d been pulled from water, pale and gasping for breath, with some unable to stand and collapsing to the ground.
"Randall, I’ll leave it to you."
Randall cocked his head and flashed a bloodthirsty cold smile, personally taking control of the squad leader to prevent him from committing suicide.
After Fu Xing and the Chief Physician left with their team, Randall immediately ordered, "Everyone at the scene, take control. Humph!"
Not a single person on site resisted or would resist. A minor interrogation had blown up under their watch, making everyone a suspect. From the moment the Commander handed the situation over to Randall, everyone understood that their fates were sealed.
Even Horace did not resist.
"Sir, I’m sorry," a Guard Team soldier said in a low voice.
Horace, expressionless, hung his head and cooperated, not saying a word.
Hearing this, Randall turned around with a cold laugh, "Sorry for what? Out of everyone here, he deserves to die the most. The infamous Spiritual Fox overturned on his own turf; if he doesn’t deserve death, who does? If the problem is found, he can’t escape his responsibility. If the problem can’t be traced, he should be the first to atone with his death."
Randall’s words led everyone to look at Horace with sympathy.
Everyone knew of the disdain between Randall and Horace; one despising the other’s sadistic tendencies, and the other scorning the other’s promiscuity, with a mind only filled with women.
Falling into the hands of the Guard Captain, it would undoubtedly be miserable.
With his head lowered, Horace let the Guard Team place an energy restraint on him and take him away.
Horace suddenly spoke up.
The Guard Team soldiers looked at their captain with faces of difficulty.
"I have something to say," Horace said, standing still without moving, his crimson eyes staring intensely at Randall.
Although Randall complained, he didn’t delay at all and waved to clear the people out, "Speak then!"
"I accept my responsibility, but we all overlooked Lady. Her identity is definitely not simple."
