Although everyone was very concerned about Lin Fu, due to Lin Fu having three possible places to go, they misunderstood because of an unfortunate mix-up. If Major General Fu Xing hadn’t come looking, Xu Jinglan would never have noticed.
"What should we do? Could something have happened?"
"Let’s not panic or shout, let’s go find Ivan."
Fu Xing left the hotel, and just as Randall had finished his search, he came face to face with him.
"The Simulation Chamber has confirmed again, Lady didn’t go there, and her personal terminal can’t be reached. In fact, no one actually saw her leave the Simulation Chamber," Randall reported, enduring Fu Xing’s mountainous pressure in his gaze, he said with trepidation.
"Where could she have gone?" Fu Xing’s voice contained an almost imperceptible menace.
"With the combat abilities Lady displayed today, no one here could have taken her away without a sound."
"Are you saying she left voluntarily with someone?"
"Yes." Randall’s voice grew quieter, the Commander’s aura more terrifying, "Without help, she wouldn’t have left without making a sound and leaving no trace, so there must be an inside accomplice."
Fu Xing frowned, "I don’t like the word ’accomplice’ used in relation to Ah Foo, remember that."
"Keep searching. Even if it means putting the First Military Command College into full lockdown, find her."
"Commander, you..." Randall looked at Fu Xing with concern, fearful that the Commander might do something drastic,
like unleashing his spiritual power to search on his own.
That would be a huge drain on the Commander’s spiritual power and should not be used unless absolutely necessary.
As dusk began to set, Lin Fu walked towards Fu Xing’s quarters on an empty stomach. Along the way, she noted that the security forces had increased more than just a degree; the air was tense, heavy with low pressure.
Why did all the patrolling guards seem so excited to see her?
Were they looking for her?
Lin Fu was startled and looked down to realize her Light Computer was off, likely Lin Qingfeng had turned it off to prevent her from being located.
She hadn’t even noticed.
Turning it back on, a flood of messages and video requests popped up, startling Lin Fu.
Most of them were from friends at the Military Academy.
Videos from Fu Xing were sent out in a very stable pattern every half hour, giving a sense of unhurried calm.
Suddenly, a half-body image of Fu Xing popped up again.
Without her input, a video call came through, and the figure of Fu Xing in grand military uniform appeared up close before Lin Fu; his eyes, deep and dark, examined her silently, without a word.
Lin Fu felt somewhat guilty.
In fact, she had almost left with Lin Qingfeng just a moment ago.
If it weren’t for not wanting to desert, not wanting to let down Elbert, she would have gone.
