The Daily Life Of A Cyberpunk Magician Chapter 172

Wolf sat in the center, and the moment he saw Jiang Shu, he stood up and walked over.

"What’s the situation now?" Jiang Shu asked Wolf directly.

"I’ve gathered all ten targets here, relying on the police station’s defense; we have about thirty officers now which should be enough to defend the station," Wolf continued, "fortunately, all ten of them are willing to follow our arrangements."

"Hmm, not too foolish," Jiang Shu chuckled as he set down his meal box and pushed it towards Wolf.

In such circumstances, running into some stubborn fool who thought too highly of himself would be truly vexing.

Thankfully, there were no idiots among those who had made it to the higher echelons of the company, especially after a member of the Deception Group had openly shot a senior executive dead in the street—no one doubted the Deception Group’s abilities and determination.

"Hey, you guys come here and help me with the setup." Just then, Kirie suddenly shouted, calling away the ten police officers.

"What are they going to do?" Jiang Shu asked Wolf, who was opening the meal box.

"They’re setting up defensive measures; Kirie has prepared a lot of defensive equipment," Wolf explained, but then he seemed to remember something and called out to Kirie, "Wait, leave two officers behind."

"Hmm..." Kirie nodded and then looked at Jiang Shu, "Then Jiang Shu, come with us."

"Huh?" Jiang Shu glanced at Wolf.

"You go ahead; there’s nothing for you here." Wolf gestured dismissively, then noticed the contents of the meal box and exclaimed in annoyance, "Didn’t you say it was tacos?"

Jiang Shu followed them.

The group headed towards the storeroom deep in the hallway. Kirie opened the storeroom door and confidently instructed the nearby officers, "Set all this up, encircling the conference hall."

The officers swiftly acknowledged and used trolleys to cart away the equipment, setting up as they went.

Randomly selecting door frames, the officers installed infrared Ray mines, small in power but sufficient to blast any enemy near the door to pieces.

Additionally, there was a simple Projection device that could release projections of officers, consistently and evenly emitting heat to fool the thermal sensing capabilities of an enemy Prosthetic Eye.

Reinforcing the walls, setting up Bait Mines, laying barbed wire - the officers methodically established a defense line, turning the whole police station into a temporary fortress.

Moreover, every step of the setup was being recorded to ensure nothing was overlooked when it was time for retrieval.

Rainbow Six: Siege.

"What can I do?" Jiang Shu gestured to himself and asked.

"Do you... know how to operate this?" Kirie hesitated before asking him back.

Jiang Shu immediately shook his head, "I don’t."

"Then don’t do anything," Kirie replied, appearing confidently valiant as she directed the other officers in setting up the defenses, progressively layering them.

Clearly, under these circumstances, even ten Deception Groups wouldn’t be enough to launch a successful frontal assault here.

But still, her brows were tightly furrowed, her face full of worry.

The fox would definitely not attack head-on, that much was clear to everyone.

"Wait..." Suddenly, Kirie stopped in her tracks.

"Hmm?"

"The data center has collapsed, the internal network of the police station has been breached, and all the surrounding surveillance has turned to black and white screens," Kirie froze, "Wasn’t a White Hat protecting the station’s network?"

"What’s going on?" Jiang Shu looked at Kirie, her small face filled with puzzlement, clearly taken aback by the situation.

"They’re here, but... how did they manage this?" Kirie murmured to herself as her wristwatch showed an interior view of the station with blue dots representing the Bait Mines that had been set up, and green dots for the positions of all police officers within the station.

"Turn off the wristwatches, everybody turn off your wristwatches!" Kirie suddenly shouted, loudly reminding everyone.
