Jian quickly dodged to the side and hit the man with his heavy bag. "Your kitten? Ahaha, oh my god, this has got to be the most hilarious thing I've heard in a while." Chuckling, he stood in between those terrifying men.
The man gritted his teeth. "Only your face looks similar... tsk. I'll make sure to tear your face up so that you won't look like my kitten," growling, he charged at him.
This time, Jian tried to dodge, but he felt an arm grab him by his neck and shove him to the ground from behind.
He didn't have time to move when a knee smashed into his face.
Grunting, he quickly pushed the hand away from his neck and fell to the ground.
"Oh, looks like only your mouthpiece has some kind of strength... such a weakling." The man kicked him in his stomach.
Jian silently clenched a handful of sand and threw it at them. While the goons were cursing and rubbing their faces, he quickly got up and ran.
He was overpowered and weaponless. Standing and fighting would be the dumbest thing he could do. The safest place was the construction site.
"Stop right there! You better stop, you ass!" the men screamed as they ran after him.
"Haha, who has ever stopped when they are being chased? Are you guys dumb?" He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. The goon really got a good hit in his face. The corner of his lip was torn and bleeding from it.
'Fuck... I've got to learn how to fight.'
Just as he was thinking this, he saw one of the goons right in front of him.
'Shit...' One of them must have taken another route and gotten ahead of him.
This time, he was really surrounded. No way to run.
He vigilantly glanced around. This was one of the places that had been cleared for renovation. So even if he shouted at the top of his lungs, no one would come to his rescue.
"Oh ho, look who this is... isn't it the chatty piglet? Looks like we've caught it." The man laughed as he walked closer. "You thought you could run from us? You're so mistaken..." The man pulled out a steel rod from inside his shirt. "Today... you'll go home crippled."
Jian felt a chill run up his spine. 'Fuck that plan!'
The man quickly smashed the steel rod toward his leg.
Jian anticipated this and shielded his leg with his school bag. Even so, the brunt force of the hit traveled down his leg, making it shake violently.
"Tsk," the man kicked the bag away. "Nothing can save you."
Nothing can save me... no one is coming for my rescue... a dull ringing sound was all he could hear.
'If... if no one is coming to save me, then... I have to save myself.'
He quickly got up and smashed the man's face again with that small rock. "I'm not going down without a fight. If I die, so be it!"
The man groaned, clutching his nose. "What the hell are you guys watching? Hit him!"
The other two joined in!
Jian didn't know who hit him where, but he carefully made sure that he could dodge the steel rod's blows. The other two were fighting with their fists.
Jian roughly punched wherever he could. He didn't stop. He was like a frantic animal, punching and poking someone's eyes.
"Ahhh! This bitch!" The man grabbed him by his head.
Growling, Jian headbutted him. "I'm not a bitch!" He felt someone grab him by his shirt. He quickly tore it off and lunged at one of them.
"You guys thought I was going to be an easy target? No! I will take out your eyes if I have to!"
"Fuck, this guy's crazy!" The man under him kicked his stomach hard.
Groaning, Jian rolled off him.
Someone grabbed him by his hair. "This crazy bitch!" and slammed his face to the ground.
"Ahhh!" Something sharp pierced his forehead.
Blood pooled down his face and into his eyes, making his vision red.
Right then, he heard it... someone running toward them.
The three goons rushed away in a hurry, leaving him pitifully on the ground.
Someone helped him up. "You okay, boy?"
Jian dazedly gazed up at him. It was a middle-aged man wearing a pristine black suit. 'He's not from around here...'
The man checked his forehead first.
Jian reached out to touch the wound.
"Don't. There are glass shards stuck in it. I'll call an ambulance." The man stepped aside to make a call.
Even after being told so, Jian didn't listen. He reached out and touched his forehead. The Hello Kitty keychain he had hung on his bag must have been smashed when he was thrown on the ground like that. Pieces of the glass were stuck in his forehead,
He gazed at his hand with a sigh. Strangely, a hint of golden liquid was mixed in with his blood.
'It must be that keychain's... tsk. Hope it doesn't cause an infection.'
His blood-filled eyes then focused on the man. He was busy chatting with someone. Jian could only hear a few tidbits.
"He is injured, but it's not life-threatening. Yes, sir... I'll not let anything happen to the young master. Yes... he... his body seems okay. He is moving." The man whispered, glancing his way.
Jian frowned, making his wound hurt exponentially. "Fuck... who is this man..."
