The Fake Son Wants to Live [BL] Chapter 56

Jian watched the man hurriedly talk to someone with a frown on his face. Did I hear him call me young master? What the... wait... this guy, he must be from the Wen family! Why didn't I think of that?

In his last life, the Wen family approached them around this time. But since he was so busy with his new classes, he had completely forgotten about it.

Jian quickly touched his forehead. Shit... my forehead. What if they find out something about my gem?

He had never been discovered as alien, partly because he hadn't been to a physical test since he was five years old. There was a chance that one of the X-ray machines could figure out the strange gem with his injury opening up his skin.

Without a second thought, he shot up and ran away while the man wasn't looking.

This injury could easily be cleaned up, but if the Wen family finds out his identity now, they might not let him live. They are the epitome of power in the few states close to this. If his alien identity is revealed to them now, they might even take him apart and experiment on him.

Fuck... I do not want that.

He dashed into the construction site, hiding his forehead, and into their small shared room. The others were at work, so the room was empty. Jian took out a mirror and gazed at his face. A huge piece of glass shard was stuck to his head, and blood was oozing, red and golden.

Blood trickled down his forehead, warm and sticky, as his fingers trembled, gripping the shard of glass embedded in his skin. The jagged edge tugged at the torn flesh, sending a white-hot jolt of agony that ricocheted through his skull. His breath hitched, eyes squeezed shut as he felt the shard shift, scraping against bone. Every inch it moved was a fresh surge of torment, like nails being dragged across raw nerves.

His heartbeat pounded in his ears, drowning out every other sound, each pulse intensifying the burning throb across his brow. When he finally yanked the glass free, the relief was immediate but fleeting, replaced by a dull, throbbing ache that settled deep in his head, leaving him dizzy and nauseous.

The gem... it must be inside. With all that blood, he was not able to see much inside his skin.

Maybe I can feel it.

With a trembling hand, he gently poked inside. The wound throbbed, sending pain waves across his body. Hissing, he touched around. His fingertips brushed something hard and cold.

That's definitely not bone... I've got to hide it...

Grunting, he quickly cleaned up the bleeding wound with a cloth nearby. The cut was clean and not so deep. He carefully assessed it to check if he had left any glass shards inside. Only after thorough checking did he bandage the wound.

That bastard! I seriously can't take it! Furious, he tossed the bloodied towel away.

His stomach ached slightly. Oh right, I got kicked so much. He poked his bruised stomach. It didn't look like any major damage was done.

Sighing, he fell onto his bed. All that blood loss made him extremely dizzy and tired. In just minutes, he had fallen asleep.

Grandpa walked in late in the evening with a bright grin on his face. "Jian, oh you're asleep. They're having your favorite fried chicken today. I brought you some." The man carefully placed it in the small stove.

His aged hands gently pulled away the cover to look at his grandson's face. "You seem tired... what is that..." He gently touched the bandage.

"Jian! Are you hurt, child?" He gently nudged him.

Jian woke up, sighing. "I'm fine. Just a small cut. I ran into a door." He sat up with a smile. "It doesn't hurt at all."

The old man let out a laugh. "Yeah right, it doesn't," he said, poking the wound. "Who taught you tricks like this?" Laughing, his grandpa sat down next to him.

Jian frowned. He had been dreading that his grandpa would take him to the hospital, but he did not expect this reaction at all. "Why do you think it's a trick?"

"Haha... child, next time use the correct color marker." The man laughed jovially.

"Huh?" Jian hurriedly pulled the small mirror from one of the drawers and took a look. His bandage was stained golden. "What the..." He poked his wound.

Strangely, he didn't feel any pain.

Did I heal... what is this golden thing... He quickly unwrapped his bandage. His pale forehead was intact with not a single scratch on it. Plus, the blue bruises around his eyes had disappeared.

With a trembling hand, he pulled up his shirt and gazed at his stomach.

The bruises here are also gone! What is happening?
