The Browning Family today came out in full force to annihilate the Howell Family in one battle, not allowing a single Cultivator from the Howell Family to escape. At least fifteen people arrived.
With a command from the Browning patriarch, all Browning Family Cultivators charged forth.
Six or seven faced off against Julia Howell and the others, while the remaining eight or nine all pounced toward Carson Flores.
They had seen the ferocity of Carson Flores, but they did not believe that he could withstand the combined assault of so many.
Even if one were as solid as iron, with so many attackers, a blow from each would surely flatten it!
Facing such overwhelming numbers, Carson Flores showed no fear, instead, he burst into laughter, charging towards them like a tiger descending the mountain.
The first to reach him landed a punch on Carson’s unprotected chest. Before a look of joy could even cross his face, Carson’s fist had already smashed into his head.
It was like a hammer crashing down on his skull. The man didn’t even have the chance to grunt before he collapsed to the ground like a wooden post.
Attacks fueled by the Browning members’ Inner Qi landed continuously on Carson Flores, who made no move to dodge. He bore all the damage head-on before delivering his most direct and violent counterattacks.
One strike, one kill!
The Browning Family members fell like wheat under the blade.
After four had fallen, the swarm that rushed at him realized something was amiss.
How could this man not be killed?
With so many fists and kicks landing on him, how could he show no reaction at all?
They hadn’t heard Jamie Webb’s final whispers; otherwise, they wouldn’t have foolishly charged in, attempting to overpower the few with their numbers.
Standing on the periphery, the Browning patriarch saw this scene unfold and suddenly drew a long knife from his side, shouting, "This guy is tricky, use weapons!"
The others took to the cue, drawing daggers or searching for their own weapons. In that moment of panic, another two men fell to Carson Flores’s fists.
"Son of a bitch, die!"
The Browning patriarch roared, slashing down with his knife, the blade sharp enough to cleave Carson Flores in two.
Carson might withstand fists, but he surely wouldn’t be foolish enough to take a knife with his body, swiftly dodging out of the way.
The Browning patriarch’s knife flew viciously through the air, and just then, several others joined in wielding various weapons. The situation seemed to suddenly become dire.
"Brother Flores, the sword!"
Raelynn Howell, who had not joined the fray, came running with a black-sheathed long sword, shouting to Carson Flores. Seeing him retreat, she quickly threw the sword his way.
This was Lydia Howell’s personal sword, which had not been needed earlier in her unarmed confrontation with Jamie Webb.
Carson caught the sword, blocking the Browning patriarch’s knife with the scabbard before drawing his blade in a return stroke.
The sword’s gleam burst forth instantaneously in the night.
The men surrounding Carson fell swiftly, like wheat being harvested.
The Browning patriarch’s eyes turned red as he bellowed, "Carson Flores!"
Carson did not bother with him, the sword’s light kept flashing, piercing the heart of the last attacker.
The ranks of those assaulting Carson were reduced to the patriarch alone, while the others obstructing the Howell Family were also faltering, being pressed back relentlessly.
In despair, the Browning patriarch watched it all unravel, knowing the outcome was sealed.
The Browning Family was finished!
Because he coveted a favor from the Miller Family, sought an alliance with them, and ordered a hit on Shirley Miller and Carson Flores, he brought Carson’s murderous intent upon the Browning Family.
Because of his own underestimation of Carson, his trust in Jamie Webb, and even at the last moment still harboring the thought to use numbers to kill Carson, he wasted the last chance for the Browning Family members to survive, leading to their complete defeat.
Nearly all of the Browning Family’s Cultivators would be buried here tonight.
After this night, the Browning Family would be no more.
Thinking back to his earlier arrogance when he told Julia Howell ’after tonight, there will be no more Howell Family’, the Browning patriarch felt immense irony.
His eyes red, the Browning patriarch screamed, "Who the hell are you?"
He just wanted to know the answer now. Who was Carson Flores, to be so young and yet have such terrifying strength?
Carson, sword in hand, approached the patriarch, "You can’t even defeat me. Why do you care who I am, where I come from? Even if I told you, what good would it do you?"
The Browning patriarch’s expression was pained. Yes, he couldn’t even beat Carson alone. Even if he knew Carson’s background, what then?
Would Carson let him go because of it?
He had already said earlier that today he was bound to kill him.
With that thought, fear suddenly spiked in the Browning patriarch’s heart. He swung his hand, and his long knife became a streak of light, shooting at Carson, while he turned and fled desperately towards the woods outside the manor.
Carson stepped to the side, his long sword intercepting the knife. The blade glided, and it seemed as if the knife stuck to the sword, spinning around.
Carson kicked, hitting the handle of the knife squarely. The knife spun out like a rainbow piercing the sun, flying at twice its original speed towards the escaping Browning patriarch.
