Oscar Miller sat on the sofa, one arm in a sling, expression anxious and restless as if sitting on pins and needles.
Across from Oscar, his father, the current Family Head of the Miller Family, Knox Miller sat with a serious expression, making a phone call.

Knox spoke coldly, "According to the information, the James family father and son are likely to have been killed by Carson Flores. The Sect that covered up for him was Rainfield Sect. Andrew once made his way to Rainfield Sect on a rainy night. That night, numerous members of Rainfield Sect were killed or injured, severely weakening the Sect and relegating them to second-rate status. Shepard James’s master is Malcolm Gross of the Rainfield Sect. When the James family father and son died, Malcolm was present and even got injured."

Oscar said in amazement, "How did Brian James provoke Carson Flores? Did Carson take action for Shirley Miller?"

Oscar’s face flushed red with gritted teeth, "I’d asked about his background, but he refused to tell. He even claimed he had no backing, just his fists. I consulted Uncle Roth, who was full of confidence, saying he could take him down. That’s why I chose to act."
Knox snorted, "Even if you killed Carson Flores, what then? With Andrew’s Direct Disciple killed by you, do you think you’d survive? With Andrew’s maniacal nature, do you really think your death would be the end of it? The Miller Family would be doomed to rivers of blood..."
Oscar’s face turned even paler, "Dad, what do we do now? Surely after Wesley died because of me, I don’t have to apologize to him, right?"
Knox scoffed, "If you apologized, where would the face of the Miller Family be? Although Andrew is fearsome, he is just one man after all. The Miller Family is not so weak as to fear him. You just focus on healing, leave the rest to me. Besides, I’m warning you not to use any underhanded tactics against those around him anymore. Your attacks without limits will provoke limitless retaliation. With your strength, if he wanted to take your life, it would be as easy as turning his hand over."
Oscar’s face whiter, panic and fear in his eyes.
"Understood, I won’t make any rash moves, Dad!"
Knox stared at the expression on his son’s face, dissatisfaction in his eyes deepening, "You can’t be so impulsive in your actions. Even though the Miller Family is strong, we are not invincible. Moreover, remember the adage that an ordinary man in a rage will spill blood in five steps. For a cultivator like Carson, either you eliminate him in one fell swoop, giving no chance for revenge, or you don’t lift a finger and deal with it in other ways.
