Many people joined in the uproar, making the scene extremely noisy for a while.
Most of the noise in the crowd came from those stirring up trouble with Eithan Fuentes and others who had a stake in the matter, and they were the most likely ones to be laid off. The rest were mostly unsettled, fearfully anticipating being cut, compliant due to sentiment, but with so many people gathered together, the atmosphere was charged.
Carson Flores worried that Shirley Miller wouldn’t be able to handle such a scene, and with a smile, he said, "Well, this is an eye-opener. It seems scamming one owner wasn’t enough for you, and now you want to keep scamming the new one. Tsk tsk, I’ve seen some shameless folks, but never anyone quite this brazen."
Eithan Fuentes’s gaze shifted, and he snorted coldly, "Who is this brat? It’s not your place to talk here. Buzz off! Davis Bernard, keep your people in line!"
Davis Bernard hadn’t expected Carson Flores to suddenly speak up like that, but he subconsciously thought Carson was new to the factory and wanted to show off in front of the new boss.
Initially wanting to hold Carson back, to keep him from speaking out of turn, Eithan Fuentes’s remark had irked Davis Bernard.

Davis Bernard snorted coldly, "If there’s an issue, let’s sit down and talk about it properly. Do you think striking and causing trouble is going to solve anything? Eithan Fuentes, you can speak your mind, so why can’t we? Do you think you own the factory or something?"
Eithan Fuentes didn’t expect Davis Bernard to show no respect, and coldly laughed, "Wow, Davis Bernard, you sure know how to kiss up fast."
Davis Bernard rolled his eyes, "The boss pays my salary, I work for the boss. What’s the problem with that? Unless you want to pay my salary?"
Carson Flores glanced at Davis Bernard, a silent chuckle in his heart, Not bad, Chief Davis, you’re playing it smart.
Benicio Combs from the logistics department sneered, "Chief Davis, don’t be so arrogant. You might be on the layoff list too, you know. After all these years, who under this roof is clean? You’re trying to distance yourself—that’s a bit too naive, isn’t it?"
Davis Bernard laughed, "The security department operates by the book, everything’s documented. Every person coming in and out, every order, every truck—it’s all recorded. I’m not like some people, with shady accounts, afraid of being audited."
Shirley Miller spoke loudly, "Getting rid of the rot is necessary. Otherwise, I’d rather spend a fortune to relocate, lay everyone off, and rehire. I absolutely won’t tolerate any rot in my factory!"
Benicio Combs snorted, "Ms. Miller, just don’t forget, there’s a 30% limit in the contract. Otherwise, it’s a breach, and the penalty isn’t small."
Shirley Miller laughed coldly, her gaze icy and her presence overwhelming, "Apart from the fact the 30% quota is already enough to get rid of all you rotters, even if I wanted to lay off everyone, all I’d have to do is have a word with Mr. Chen, hand him some money, sign an additional agreement, and do you really think he, having been scammed into selling the factory and settled down in Xijing, would care about you? Do you think gathering here today, you can intimidate me?"

"Think about it, even if this group of rot is laid off, they’ll still live the good life. And think about yourselves, if you’re laid off because of them, will you be able to find a job as good as this one?"
Shirley Miller’s voice was cold and murderous, "I promise you, from now on, within one minute, those who leave this place and return to their posts, if you hadn’t engaged in any corrupt behavior in the past, you’ll stay. If you had, resign voluntarily, and I won’t pursue it."
Davis Bernard stood out, his voice booming, "Present!"
