Carson Flores turned in surprise. He hadn’t persuaded Remy Johnston to join the alliance; did the Johnston Family just jump in on their own?
Kylan Martinez also looked surprised and asked, "Was this decision made by your dad?"
Remy Johnston answered seriously, "Previously, Carson said he wanted to deal with the Miller Family, so I discussed this with my dad. He said that if it was just a risky attempt, the risk was too big, and the Johnston Family would not participate. But if it was certain to succeed in one fell swoop, then my Johnston Family would contribute our share."
After pausing, Remy Johnston apologized to Carson and said, "You saved my dad’s life, but his decisions must align with the interests of our entire family. Therefore, we can only lend a hand when things are already well, but not when in dire need."
Carson smiled and said, "Understood, being able to lend a hand is already tremendously good."
A relaxed smile formed on Kylan Martinez’s face, "The Firzgerald Family, Martinez Family, Johnston Family, plus Carson Flores himself, with the four sides joining forces for a full-on attack, there doesn’t seem to be a big problem. However, I can’t make this call alone; the decision has to come from my dad, the Family Head."
Carson laughed, "No urgency, today’s meeting is just to put forth a proposal. We need to have a detailed discussion about the specific intentions."
Kylie Martinez suddenly spoke up, "Carson, you have a good relationship with Camille Rhodes, right? Why not try to persuade the Rhodes Family to join too? If the Rhodes Family were to join, then half of the Eight Great Families would be involved, making it much easier to deal with the Miller Family."
Carson chuckled, "The Rhodes Family has no conflict with the Miller Family, they may not be willing to take the risk."
Kylan Martinez smiled and said, "Kylie is right. If the Rhodes Family is prepared to join, this matter would be virtually settled."
Without contradicting, Carson responded with a smile, "I’ll ask her later."
Kylan asked, "If the Martinez Family is unwilling to participate and can only fulfill your first two conditions, would you still treat the illness?"
Carson answered neatly and laughed, "The third condition is actually a collaboration. If you’re unwilling, just pretend I never mentioned it. However, I can assure you that regardless of whether the Martinez and Johnston Families are involved, the Miller Family will certainly be destroyed."
Kylan’s demeanor relaxed a bit, "Compared to your proposal for collaboration, the loss of interests from the second condition really doesn’t amount to much. Alright, no matter if the Martinez Family ends up collaborating with you or not, I can agree to the first two conditions right now."
Carson Flores smiled slightly, "It’s a deal!"
Kylan took out his phone, smiling, "I’ll resolve the first matter for you as a sign of my sincerity. Regardless of how the treatment goes, let’s be friends."
Carson did not hesitate, after all, this was something he earned through his own skills; an early resolution from the other party merely meant a favor granted with the current flowing.
Kylan took down the supplier’s phone number and moved aside to start making calls.
It wasn’t long before Kylan returned with a peculiar look on his face.
Seeing Kylan’s expression, Carson took the initiative to ask, "Is there some difficulty?"
Kylan shook his head, "No difficulty, it’s just that my call was too late."
Carson asked curiously, "What happened?"
Kylan answered, "I called these three suppliers, and they all had the same response—someone had already bought up their entire stock and had already paid for it. To put it simply, although the batch of goods is still in their factories, it no longer belongs to them."
Carson frowned, "The Miller Family?"
Kylan’s expression was elusive, his gaze deep, "Not them—the Rhodes Family. The person who made the purchase was Preston Rhodes."
Camille Rhodes’s brother?
Kylie Martinez’s eyes widened, and she looked at Carson with a strange expression, "It must have been Camille, right? What is she trying to do?"
Carson shook his head, slightly at a loss, "I don’t know either; I haven’t discussed this with her... Anyway, since the Rhodes Family has taken the medicine, I’ll ask Camille later. You don’t have to worry about this for now."
Kylan laughed, "Okay, if you need my assistance with this matter later on, just say the word."
The medicine being in the hands of the Rhodes Family was certainly better than under the control of the Miller Family. Carson composed his emotions and said, "Let’s get back to the main topic. Today, I will give you an acupuncture session and also take on a cheap apprentice."
Remy Johnston asked curiously, "Was that the Resuscitation Technique you used in the operating room that day?"
Carson nodded, "Yes."
Remy gave a thumbs up, "Although I didn’t understand it, I was truly shocked."
Aziel Burgess was called back in, and except for Kylie, the others entered a clean and tidy empty room.
Kylan removed his jacket and trousers, lying flat on the bed.
Carson took out his own Silver Needles, glanced at Aziel, and said indifferently, "Watch carefully!"
Aziel scoffed, "I’m watching."
Carson didn’t say more, he inserted the needles cleanly and began to stimulate Kylan’s acupoints with the Resuscitation Technique.
Carson had only placed three needles when Aziel’s face turned stark white, his eyes revealing an incredulous look as he murmured under his breath, "Impossible! Absolutely impossible!"
When Carson placed the seventh needle and used his qi to guide the needles, all seven Silver Needles inserted in Kylan’s body began to tremble in unison as if they had their own life.
"Seven Stars Linked Pearls!"
Aziel exclaimed in shock, his eyes widening so much they seemed to almost bulge out of their sockets. Now looking at Carson, Aziel was filled with astonishment and disbelief.
"You can actually perform the Resuscitation Technique..."
