Carson Flores raised his thumb in surprise, "You’re impressive!"
Tucker Tyler chuckled and turned to leave.
Carson had merely asked casually, but Tucker’s blatant response, let alone his choice of words, clearly hinted at a sense of offering up his loyalty.
After all, if Abraham Miller found out about this, even if he knew it was a thing of the past, he would surely be somewhat disgusted.

The consequences of being disgusted could mean that his schoolmate’s lover would no longer be able to maintain that status, and his assistant position would definitely be finished. He could even get taken care of.

After Tucker Tyler left, Augustus Vasquez came up to Carson, his expression complex.
Everyone else’s contract was 90% of the official guide price, but his was one and a half times that, a unique case.
"Brother Carson, thank you. If it weren’t for you today, we’d probably all be lying in the hospital now," Augustus lamented.
Carson smiled, "Don’t mention it, fighting for me is just a small effort."
Augustus asked worriedly, "Those guys have deep connections, Brother Carson, will you be in danger later on?"
Carson replied, "I already have a conflict with the Miller family backing High Energy Real Estate. I don’t mind adding one more thing to the list."
Augustus lowered his voice, "Brother Carson, I know the contract was signed with me alone because of you. Should I give you the extra money?"
Carson smiled, "Keep it. Find yourself a wife and live a good life. I don’t need the money. It’s useless to me. I’m off now!"
Augustus quickly said, "It’s hard to get a taxi here. Let me drive you back."
The next morning, Carson sat in the guard booth playing with his phone, a familiar BMW X7 drove in from the outside.
Shirley Miller came back from Polgel.
With half-closed car windows, Shirley and Carson’s gazes met, and a shallow smile emerged on both their faces.
Although no words were exchanged, their eyes held a tacit understanding.
Carson picked up his phone and sent a message to Shirley.
Carson: "You’re back. Is everything at home going smoothly?"
Shirley: "All is well. The company has gotten rid of those holding us back; now the atmosphere is brimming with positivity, and it’s easier to manage."
Carson: "If the Miller family falls, would you be interested in the Miller family’s assets?"
Shirley: "Revenge comes first."
Carson: "If you’re sure that Knox Miller was behind your parents’ demise, would you kill him?"
Shirley: "Kill! If he could murder his own cousin, Oscar Miller could also harm me, his cousin. Naturally, I could kill them too!"
Carson: "Although you’re not too interested in the Miller family’s assets, you might want to think about it. If the Miller family falls, their assets are bound to be divided. We should have a share. If you don’t want it and give it up, that’s the equivalent of giving it away to others for free."
Shirley: "My goal is revenge, I don’t care about the rest. I’ll listen to you."
Carson: "I just thought of it and wanted to give you a heads-up so you can prepare mentally. There’s still time to think about whether your grudge against the Miller family is against a small portion or the whole. Whatever decision you make, I’ll support you. As for the assets, they’re of no use to me. If you really don’t want to be involved with the Miller family anymore, then giving them away as a favor is no problem for me either."
Carson put down his phone and fell into deep thought.
The negotiations between the Martinez and Johnston families should also have some results by now; after all, several days had passed.
Carson wasn’t in a hurry to contact them. It was a matter of attitude. Appearing too eager would put him at a disadvantage in this cooperation.
With the Acevedo family hedging, the Martinez family taking a tough stance, and three of the eight great Seashore families siding with him, would the Miller family hear the rumors and also unite with their allies to confront him?

While Carson was pondering, his phone screen flickered, and he received a message from an unknown number.
Carson looked down and his pupils constricted.
"Be careful in the coming days. The Miller family may take major action, a striking thunderbolt—your friend who’s always there when you call."
Your friend who’s always there when you call?
When they had parted, he had described his relationship with that female classmate as "always there when you call."
Was he returning the favor by tipping him off now, just after Carson’s warning?
Despite clinging to the Miller family, did he actually trust Carson more?
After some thought, Carson figured Tucker Tyler knew that even if Carson failed, he wouldn’t betray his informant; after all, as Tyler said, he was just a small fry, irrelevant to the big picture. But by signaling to Carson now, Tyler could become a hero if Carson won and the Miller family fell.
This guy was indeed shrewd, he even knew how to offer timely help, betting in advance!
