Carson Flores walked out of the house, and all the fighting had ended.
All the cultivators of the Miller Family had been cleanly and neatly defeated and had their cultivation destroyed. Now, in the entire Miller Family Ancestral Home, there was not a single cultivator left in the Miller Family.
In the world of cultivators, the Miller Family was no more!
Castiel Martinez approached, his eyes filled with eagerness as he asked, "What about Peter Miller?"
Carson replied, "He didn’t want his cultivation to be wasted; he chose death."
Castiel Martinez let out a sigh of relief and laughed, "It’s good that he’s dead. After all, Peter Miller was a half-step Great Grandmaster with many connections. As long as he was alive, there would have been lots of trouble."
Naturally, Carson would not have let Peter Miller live. Regarding the investigation of his own origins, apart from Shirley Miller and Samantha Tate, he would not tell anyone else.
Whether the truths or lies spoken by Peter Miller, he would take one step at a time to verify them. But if he had left him alive, he would have spread the word about his identity, and that could have caused him a lot of trouble.
Carson had a premonition that the disappearance of his father and mother was probably not that simple.
Carson smiled slightly, "That’s what I think as well."
Castiel Martinez returned the smile slightly, "Thiago Miller and the other two Grandmasters refused to give up resistance. They were heavily wounded and died during the break-out."
Carson showed no surprise; since the decision was made to annihilate the clan, as the pillars of the family, the Grandmasters would naturally be dealt with severely. No chances would be given for them to fight back.
"And what of Knox Miller?"
"Over there, Shirley Miller is questioning him."
Castiel Martinez answered, then added with a hint of apology, "Carson, about before..."
Carson smiled and cut off Castiel Martinez, "No need to explain, I completely understand. Only a Great Grandmaster can stand against a Great Grandmaster. Even if you were determined to intervene, you wouldn’t have been able to stop Nash Acevedo."
Castiel Martinez breathed a sigh of relief, then asked eagerly, "Have you ascended to Great Grandmaster?"
Carson nodded, "Pretty much, but I need some more time to stabilize it."
Although Castiel Martinez had already guessed this outcome, he was still greatly shocked to get this confirmation from Carson.
Carson was only twenty-seven years old, and he had already advanced to Great Grandmaster!
Such talent was astonishing indeed.
Luckily, the Martinez Family had not made an enemy of Carson. Otherwise, they too might have faced a great disaster.
Kylan Martinez had told Castiel Martinez about how he and Kylie Martinez had met Carson, and how they had had conflicts before. If it weren’t for his son and daughter’s restraint and the later deepening of their relationship through the healing incident, the relationship between the Martinez Family and Carson could have been very bad.
"That’s good. Now that you’re a Great Grandmaster, Carson, you don’t need to worry about the Acevedo Family. On the contrary, now it’s the Acevedo Family that should be worried!"
Carson laughed, "I will be seeking lessons from Nash Acevedo."
Castiel Martinez’s eyes brightened, "If there’s anything the Martinez Family can do to help, please just say the word."
Carson naturally understood the underlying implications of Castiel Martinez’s statement and said with a smile, "Family Head Martinez need not worry about the Acevedo Family. As you said, they’re the ones who should be worried now. Even if something does come up, with the four parties making an alliance and cooperating pleasantly, as allies, I wouldn’t sit idly by."
With this reassurance from Carson, Castiel Martinez was completely at ease.
Although Nash Acevedo had Derek Eaton covering for him and they had made a move, Derek Eaton was not from Seashore City, he was just a passerby. Once he left, what if the Acevedo Family wanted to settle old scores?
Now that Carson had expressed his support for them, even hinting at seeking trouble with the Acevedo Family, they were completely reassured.
After placating Castiel Martinez, Carson walked over to Shirley Miller and asked, "How did it go?"

This outcome was not unexpected. In fact, it was just final confirmation.
"What do you plan to do?"
Shirley’s eyes were firm, "Blood for blood!"
Carson put his hand on Shirley’s shoulder, comforting her, "After all, you’re a Miller. Leave this matter alone; they’ll handle it!"
Shirley nodded. She was determined to avenge her parents and wouldn’t let the fact that her opponents were from the Miller Family sway her decision, but to take lives with her own hands was evidently too much for her.
"Let’s go, leave the rest to them here."
Shirley gathered her emotions and turned to ask, "What about you, have you settled your affairs?"
With others nearby, Shirley asked her question in a discreet manner.
Carson smiled slightly, "All settled, we’ll talk more when we get back."
Seeing the smile on Carson’s face, Shirley’s eyes lit up with a hint that perhaps it was good news.
Shirley turned to look at Derek Eaton, who laughed, "This lad is a Great Grandmaster now. He can walk sideways in Seashore City. With him here, no one can touch you. I’m leaving now. In three days, I’ll come to pick you up."
