Shirley Miller approached Oscar Miller, her usually calm gaze finally stirred.
Oscar Miller was a complete wreck, not even possessing the courage to run.
Even Tony Reid, an Innate Great Grandmaster, had just tried and failed to escape, so where could he, a mere practitioner of Inner Qi, possibly flee to?

What could Oscar Miller say? He knew that no matter how he pleaded, Shirley would never let him go.

Oscar Miller laughed hysterically, "So, you’re willing to share a husband with your sister, haha. After all, you’re still relying on your beauty to please others. Otherwise, how would Carson have helped you?"
Shirley spoke calmly, "No matter how we decide, that’s our private business. At least we haven’t hurt anyone, while you always harm others. With someone like you, there really isn’t much to say. I don’t need to explain anything to you..."
Shirley raised her hand, but Kaylee Reid, who had been watching from the side, suddenly rushed over, standing in front of Shirley.
"Miss Miller, I know his love for me isn’t real, but what can I do when I love him? Even if his smile and words to me are fake, I still feel overjoyed. You said you understand me, so can you please spare his life? After a moment of thought, Shirley spoke, "Fine, I agree to your request. I can leave him lying in bed for the rest of his life. That way, you can take care of him forever. I don’t know if he’ll be happy, but I think you might be."
Surprise and joy flashed in Kaylee’s eyes, "Thank you, Miss Miller..."
The spiteful words of Oscar Miller came from behind Kaylee, as he suddenly lunged forward, grabbing her throat and using her as a shield, shouting loudly, "Shirley! If you don’t leave this room within ten seconds, I’ll kill her!"
Kaylee was stunned, her eyes revealing an unbelievable despair.
She knew Oscar Miller didn’t love her, but even as she pleaded for his life, he used her as a pawn to threaten Shirley.
Kaylee closed her eyes, as tears silently fell.
She had lost all hope.
She didn’t care anymore. Even if Shirley killed them both with one strike, it no longer mattered to her.
Shirley said coldly, "You’re as despicable as ever."
After speaking, Shirley turned and left, clean and decisive.
Hearing Shirley’s departing footsteps, Oscar Miller’s face displayed ecstatic joy. Shirley had actually left!
Women are women after all, with soft hearts – they can’t accomplish great things!
Oscar Miller couldn’t help but peer over Kaylee’s shoulder to see Shirley leaving.
The moment he raised his head, Shirley extended her right hand, and with a flick of her two fingers, a chopstick lying on the floor instantly levitated. With a swift gesture, that chopstick transformed into a bolt of lightning, shooting straight out.
The moment Oscar Miller poked his head out, he saw a black dot flash before his eyes, felt a pain in his brow, and then his consciousness shook, plunging into an endless darkness.
Kaylee felt the grip on her throat tighten, and as she awaited her doomed fate in despair, the hand suddenly released its hold.
Turning around, Kaylee saw Oscar Miller lying face up on the ground, his eyes still reflecting an unbelievable terror, with half of a chopstick embedded in his forehead.
Kaylee turned back to Shirley, her eyes complex.
Shirley had agreed to spare Oscar Miller’s life for her, and yet he had used her own life to threaten Shirley. Shirley had killed Oscar Miller to save her life...
Shirley looked at Kaylee, her gaze softening, "Take good care of yourself. Someone who doesn’t love you isn’t worth it."
Shirley turned to glance at the mute and stunned Dexter Reid and was about to leave when she suddenly turned back, "One more thing, how do I get to the Five Dragon Sect?"
Dexter Reid looked at Shirley with a strange expression, "Thirty li west of the city, behind Sword Cloud Mountain."
Shirley turned decisively and left the Reid house, casually hailing a taxi.
"To Sword Cloud Mountain."
