Carson Flores replied with a twinkle in his eye, indicating that Gunner Tate still viewed Kaenu Hail with considerable fear.

Gunner Tate’s gaze turned fierce, "I heard he’s had dealings with the people from Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven. Your father is from Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, isn’t he? What, does he also want to start by warming up an old stove?"
Kaenu Hail had dealings with Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven?
Carson Flores suddenly realized, so that was it.

Carson Flores turned his head to see a silver-haired elder staring at him with a dark, provocative look in his eyes.
Carson Flores was stunned, such direct hostility?
The elder replied, "Compton Family of Canghe, Aurelio Compton."
Carson Flores frowned, "I don’t recall having any dealings with the Canghe Compton Family. Have I offended you?"
An elder beside him laughed, "Mr. Flores, Aurelio Compton is very good friends with the old patriarch of the Reid Family of West Capital, Alberto Reid."
Carson Flores suddenly understood and gave a bow to the man who had spoken, "Thank you for your guidance, senior. Otherwise, I’d still be confused, like encountering someone who falsely accuses others."
The elder returned the bow, "West Capital’s Water Cloud Sect, Lewis Schneider."
Carson Flores smiled and nodded his head, then turned back to Aurelio Compton, "I have not offended you, yet you speak with provocation. What, are you seeking to avenge the deceased Alberto Reid?"
Aurelio Compton chuckled coldly, "I’m just speaking the truth. What, I can’t say what you can come here?"
Carson Flores turned and laughed, "Of course you can speak, but as long as it’s just moving lips. I heard the council leader has rules against private fighting, isn’t that right?"
There was immediately a burst of laughter around them; Carson Flores’s words seemed to acknowledge the rules of the Kyushu Council, but he was actually mocking Aurelio Compton for only daring to move his lips.
Aurelio Compton’s face turned a few shades redder in anger. Everyone here was a renowned figure of some standing; being mocked by a youngster in his twenties was a blow to his pride.
"Arrogant boy, do you dare to fight me?"
Carson Flores turned to inquire of Lewis Schneider, who had just given him insight, "Elder Lewis, is fighting allowed during the council meeting?"
Lewis Schneider answered with a smile, "If it’s a mutually agreed upon contest, it is certainly permitted. Prohibition of private fights means forbidding one-sided attacks..."
Lewis Schneider cast a glance at Gunner Tate who was watching coldly from afar, "For instance, Sect Master Gunner, if you wish, you could have a duel with him. But if you do not wish to, Sect Master Gunner is not allowed to attack you during the meeting."
Gunner Tate sneered, "If he dares, I will kill him right now."
Carson Flores chuckled, not taking Gunner Tate’s bait. With everyone watching and based on raw strength, his chances of defeating Gunner Tate were low, but who could say for sure in private, using other methods?
"I wonder how this gentleman’s strength compares to Gunner Tate’s?"
Aurelio Compton’s expression changed slightly, "I am certainly not on par with Sect Master Gunner."
Carson Flores laughed, "If I agree to fight you, then what? Do you plan to teach me a lesson, or are you intending to kill me? Or maybe, even if you could kill me, would you dare to do so?"
Aurelio Compton’s face flushed with anger, and he found himself at a loss for words.
Having been good friends with Alberto Reid, Aurelio Compton naturally harbored resentment toward Shirley Miller for killing Alberto and Tony Reid. As Shirley’s husband, Carson Flores was instinctively included in that resentment.
