After inspecting it for a moment, Delaney smiled and said, "You’re quite lucky, this Ninth-Grade Lotus Platform is a top-grade Spiritual Medicine. If you combine it with other ingredients and refine it into elixirs, strengthening your powers and advancing a level shouldn’t be a problem. Are you really okay with giving it to me?"
Carson’s eyes were calm, fluctuating not in the slightest as he smiled and said, "We are neither kith nor kin, and yet, Senior Sister is willing to impart her Unique Mastery to me. A mere Ninth-Grade Lotus Platform is nothing in comparison; I have no regrets about giving it away."
Delaney hesitated for a moment, then laughed and said, "It’s usually the Senior Sister who should give a welcoming gift, yet here it is the other way around. This time I came to provide protection, but also to look for certain important items. This Ninth-Grade Lotus Platform is of great use to me, truly a rare find. I won’t stand on ceremony then and will accept it graciously."
Delaney initially didn’t want to accept, but as she said, such a thing was incredibly rare and significantly helpful to her.
Carson is only at the Golden Core Initial Stage, his realm still low. To help Carson improve his strength, there are other elixirs or methods that can take the place, so for him to use the Ninth-Grade Lotus Platform to upgrade his strength would indeed be a waste.

Delaney casually released the bindings she had placed earlier: "The tree demon’s original body was destroyed by me, and its Nascent Soul fled, possessing this Vajra Vine. Then I caught it. Carson’s eyes widened with surprise and excitement.

Delaney, looking down at the vine seedling in her hand, sternly commanded, "Now you have two choices: either perish completely and disappear, or offer up your True Soul and sign a master-servant soul contract. Choose one!"
A master-servant soul contract, mainly serving to the death; it only requires the master’s thought to annihilate the True Soul. No matter how powerful the servant, even with incredible abilities, they could be killed instantly. Additionally, if the master dies, the servant must also die. This ensures that servants unconditionally obey their master’s orders and lay down their lives to protect them.
The master lives, so does the servant.
The tree demon chose subjugation without hesitation: "I am willing to sign the contract."

A green glow flashed from the vine seedling. Delaney reached out and patted it towards Carson’s forehead, "Open your heart!"
Delaney’s finger shone as she touched Carson’s forehead.
Carson felt his mind blank, as if a new consciousness had emerged—that of the tree demon’s True Soul.
No matter the tree demon’s sentiment towards Carson, having voluntarily offered the True Soul to sign the master-servant contract, it was now Carson’s servant, bound to follow his orders, unless it no longer wished to live.
Delaney handed the vine to Carson, "It has just completed possession and is very weak now. After a little time to integrate, it will have some combat power. But to return to its original state, it will need a lot of resources. If you have surplus cultivation resources, you can feed them to her to help her rapidly improve. With the master-servant contract in place, no matter how strong she becomes, you don’t have to worry about her turning on you."
