Ya Yulan was infuriated by his words, unsure what to say in response.
"You might be going mad but don’t drag our whole family into this. If you provoke Ya Molian too much, there’s no telling what he might do!"
"And what exactly can he do? This is Ya Village, does he think he owns the place?" scoffed Clan Chief Ya.
Back when they were in the Lin Family home, he might have felt slightly wary, but now that he was back home, was he supposed to fear Ya Molian? Even if Ya Molian had the guts, he would never dare!
Feeling helpless, he didn’t know what else to say, so he stood up.
"Grandpa, you can go ahead and do as you wish. I’m done dealing with this. You can do whatever you want."
Dropping his instructions, he turned and walked away.
"Yulan, Yulan, where are you going? You haven’t given grandpa any advice yet!" Clan Chief Ya called after Ya Yulan’s departing figure. Receiving no response, he huffed heavily.
"What’s the point of having a grandson? He’s not even as considerate as Yu Ju!"
If his grandson would not help him, he would have to devise a counter-measure himself. As an esteemed Clan Chief, could he not even come up with a single idea?
"That’s it! I’ll go find Ya Tu!"
Even if Ya Molian doesn’t take Ya Tu seriously, Ya Tu is his foster father, isn’t he? His words still carry weight, right? If Ya Tu doesn’t agree to Ya Molian and Lin Caisang’s engagement, he would like to see how this betrothal can be settled!
