No one else spoke, and everyone quietly ate their food. Once the meal was finished, Su Yunjin went back to her room. Her second sister Su Ningxiu and Su Xiaobao had injuries on their bodies. Su Yunjin had applied ointment to them during the day, and due to the severity of the bruises on Ningxiu and Xiaobao, they should have another application in the evening. The voice of Gu Ya came from outside the door, and Su Yunjin looked up to see Gu Ya returning from the Gu Family. She took in his appearance, noting that Gu Ya had changed into a new set of clothes.

Su Yunjin, surprised by Gu Ya’s thoughtful consideration of even what to present to her father, asked, “Husband, where did this wine come from?”
The Gu Family didn’t have wine, and Gu Ya had brought some—could it be that he had also visited the market? No wonder why Gu Ya had returned so late; he had made a trip to the market after all.
