The house was nearly complete, and the Ruanlin Family’s spirits were especially high, so she didn’t notice the unusual atmosphere between the two little ones.
Since it had been decided early on that Ruan Jiaojiao would get that room, which had an extra toilet that none of the other rooms had.
"Do you like it, Jiaojiao? This is your room. Once it’s ready, Grandma will take you to town to buy some furniture and decorate your darling room beautifully," said the Ruanlin Family, who had been a landlord’s daughter and had enjoyed all that life had to offer, so she knew how to decorate a little girl’s room.

Listening to Ruanlin’s somewhat excited arrangements, Ruan Jiaojiao’s emotions were also stirred, and she began looking forward to having her own little room, but—"Grandma, does that mean Jiaojiao can’t sleep with you anymore?"
Ruan Jiaojiao’s affection for the Ruanlin Family was heavier than for any other member of the Ruan Family, including Ruan Jianguo. She didn’t want to sleep separately from her; she enjoyed the feeling of sleeping together, warm and secure.

Ruanlin couldn’t stop smiling and simply said, "Alright, alright, whenever Jiaojiao wants to sleep with Grandma, just come to my room. I’ll sleep downstairs."
As she spoke, she began pointing out various spots in the room, discussing what objects to place where.
Ultimately, she decisively said, "We’ll make time tomorrow to go to town and choose carefully." Turning to look at Xiu Xi, who hadn’t spoken, she added, "Xiaoxi, if you want anything, tell Grandma, I’ll buy it for you too."
Ruan Jiaojiao’s response was to give her a big kiss, "Jiaojiao loves Grandma the most!"
"..." Xiu Xi, who had just been her favorite, felt a tinge of jealousy.
He dared not say anything, silently emitting a wistful aura, hoping to attract Ruan Jiaojiao’s attention.
Unfortunately for him, Ruan Jiaojiao hadn’t noticed yet when suddenly Ruan Jianguo’s excited voice came from downstairs, "Mom, come down quickly and look!"
Ruan Jianguo stood by the stairs, holding a piece of paper, joyfully yelling to Ruanlin above.
Ruanlin responded and let go of Ruan Jiaojiao, telling her to continue looking around, and then turned to go downstairs.
"Captain Wu is here too." Standing at the stairs and spotting Captain Wu Guoqun nearby, she greeted him.
Wu Guoqun, shaking the paper in his hand, said to her, "Auntie Ruan, have a look at this." That morning Ruanlin had asked him about this matter, but he hadn’t expected that within a few hours, the official notification would arrive.
Ruanlin took the paper from him with suspicion, but upon examining it, she slapped her thigh in delight, her eyes shining, "Is this for real? Is our team getting electricity too?"
"Could this be fake?" The Captain laughed, "The notice has come down from the top, it can’t be wrong! You can be assured!" He turned to admire the Ruan Family’s new house, his tone envious, "Auntie Ruan, your family is truly catching the good times. Once the electricity is connected, this house... tsk, just the thought of it is impressive! Just don’t forget to invite me for a drink to celebrate the housewarming."
