The housemaid also followed her out, softly closing the door, “Miss, how is madam’s condition?”
Gu Jiao said, “Her condition has worsened again, becoming almost as bad as when she was at the Villa.”
The housemaid, scared, asked, “Is it that serious?”
Gu Jiao responded, “It’s not as severe as it was at the beginning.”
The housemaid showed some relief, and then sighed melancholically, “After madam returned, her mood was actually not very good. The housemaid shook her head, “No, madam hardly ever leaves the courtyard here in the mansion. She only goes out to visit Miss and the Young Master. The Marquis used to visit often, but recently he’s been busy with the Ministry of Works and often doesn’t return home for days.”
