Lu Beichen entered the room and saw Little Bun rolling happily on the bed, his little legs kicking the air continuously.
As soon as Little Bun saw him come in, he immediately put his legs down, lay straight obediently, then realized something was off, quickly crawled in and burrowed into the covers, laying straight once again.
Lu Beichen couldn’t help but laugh at his actions. How had he never noticed how adorable his son was before? Just like his mother!
"Mr. Lu, stop laughing and go to sleep!" Little Bun covered his face and murmured.
Lu Beichen raised his eyebrows, "Call me that again, and I might just tickle you!"
Lu Beichen closed the door and went straight to lie down beside him. Lu Sinian thought he was really going to tickle him and quickly scooted over, almost falling off, but luckily was caught by Lu Beichen.
He quickly climbed back up and flung himself into Lu Beichen’s arms, wildly using his little hands to tickle Lu Beichen. He was surprisingly quick!
Lu Beichen chuckled a few times, leaned down, and asked softly, "I’m not afraid of tickles!"
Little Bun looked up, incredulous, and then tried tickling under his armpit. Lu Beichen simply lay back, his hands behind his head, letting him tickle away.
"You’re really not ticklish?" Little Bun couldn’t believe it.
Lu Beichen raised an eyebrow, almost as if shrugging.
"Why? I don’t agree!" Little Bun straddled him at first, then lay directly on top of him, kicking his legs, "I don’t agree!"
"Because your mom is ticklish!" Lu Beichen replied.
"Then why do I have to be ticklish like my mom and not be like you, who isn’t ticklish?" Little Bun murmured.
"But you look like me!" Lu Beichen said softly, satisfied that his son resembled him. Having someone in the world who looks like you is indeed comforting.
Little Bun suddenly lifted his head to say, "I don’t want to look like you. If I looked like my mom, then I would know what she looks like!"
He looked up dreamily, then said softly, "If I could be like you in other ways... I could be as amazing as you!"
He said quietly, his ears turning red!
It was at this moment Lu Beichen realized that his son admired him! This feeling was more satisfying than beating opponents in the business world again and again. Lu Beichen just looked at him and replied, "You’re as smart as me!"
"That’s true!" he replied proudly, then saw Lu Beichen staring at him, and quickly looked down shyly, realizing he’d been lying on him for quite a while... no wonder it was so comfy!
Suddenly, even his little face turned red, and just as he tried to get off him, Lu Beichen caught him with both hands, holding him back down.
His face was pressed tightly against Lu Beichen’s chest, where he could hear the loud heartbeat.
Lu Sinian held his breath, afraid that his own heartbeat would be heard too.
Lu Beichen, still holding him with one hand, adjusted the blanket with the other, and said, "Let’s just sleep !"
"But, won’t I feel heavy for you?" Little Bun asked softly.
"I would be happy if you could grow heavier!" This child was born with deficiencies and it pains him.
"I’ll eat well from now on!" Little Bun replied obediently, "But sleeping , I don’t dare move!"
"That’s for the best, you always sleep so restlessly!"
"In the past, I had to get up almost every night to cover you with the blanket!"
He spoke casually, as if he were about to fall asleep, and Lu Sinian listened, then after a second of silence, sounding a bit like a little adult, he said, "I guess that was really tough for you!"
When he heard no answer, and the breathing became more even, he finally closed his eyes too!
