The New City Villa truly is a high-end neighborhood, especially quiet in the morning, without a hint of the bustling city.
Ji Niandong woke up naturally after a good night’s sleep, sat up abruptly upon seeing the unfamiliar surroundings, then let out a relieved breath.
Picking up her phone to take a look, she found Zhou Yiqing’s message from last night: "Sorry Tongtong, I was busy attending a company training session and didn’t notice my phone. I’m not too sure about the training class Linda mentioned, she might have just said it casually. How about I ask around? I also feel like I should get some training myself!"
"No need to ask for me, I’ll figure something out myself! Thanks!" Since Lu Beichen had already arranged it for her, she didn’t want to trouble others, saying too much might inconvenience Lu Beichen.
"Why are we being so polite! I asked Sister Judy this morning, she said the company can arrange a special training, I can’t help you there, so I hope you can find something soon!"
"Okay, I just got up, I’ll go wash up first!" She replied, then put down the phone and went into the bathroom.
The bathroom was divided into a bathtub and shower area, with two differently-sized bathrobes hanging conspicuously to the side, and upon another glance, everything was in pairs.
Originally black, white, and gray, there was now a touch of pink added!
When Ji Niandong walked out of the bathroom, she immediately saw a man making the bed, his technique was skillful, and in no time, the large bed was perfectly tidy without a wrinkle.
She thought he was a noble prince untouched by worldly concerns, yet he had such a homely side.
"Good morning!" She awkwardly stood there and broke the silence first.
Lu Beichen then looked at her, her hair wrapped in a towel on her head, revealing a delicate, fair face. Freshly showered, she had a hint of blush, a loose bathrobe wrapped around her, she tightly clutched the lapels at her chest, slightly exposing her collarbone and straight calves, looking like a frightened little white rabbit, but with a hint of allure.
Lu Beichen glanced to the side and discreetly swallowed, his Adam’s apple moving up and down, "Hurry and dry your hair, change clothes and come over, I’ve prepared breakfast!"
"Oh, okay!" The awkward atmosphere was broken, and Ji Niandong quickly darted into the walk-in closet.

Ji Niandong then sat down, wearing a pure cotton T-shirt and loose, casual home clothes, looking very comfortable and laid-back. Her long hair, half-dry, hung over her waist, with no makeup on her face, yet still looking fresh and charming.
Lu Beichen passed the food to Ji Niandong, then sat down himself, "I can’t really cook, just simple things like porridge and noodles, making poached eggs is already my limit, mostly for feeding Nian Nian when he gets hungry at night!"
He spoke casually and simply, but for a man to raise a child alone couldn’t have been easy. Ji Niandong took a sip of porridge, then asked somewhat gossipy: "May I ask, who exactly is Nian Nian’s mother?"
