"I’m not angry with my sister, you should go in quickly." After all, Han Siyu is Han Xi’s elder sister; how could she really be angry with her?
Han Siyu tightened her grip on Han Xi’s hand, "That’s good, I’m relieved you’re not angry."
Watching Han Xi get on the elevator, Han Siyu returned to the ward and picked up a bowl from the table, scooping some soup and bringing it to Li Chenghao’s lips, "Drink more soup; it will help your recovery."
Li Chenghao let out a cold laugh, the chill in his gaze towards Han Siyu was bone-chilling, "You staying here only makes me feel disgusted and hateful; please leave immediately."
All of Li Chenghao’s patience vanished in the instant Han Siyu stabbed him with a knife.
Han Siyu smiled lightly, indifferent, with her bright red lips strikingly standing out from her heavy makeup, "When your sweetheart feeds you, you eat; why is it disgusting when it’s me?"
"Han Siyu, I don’t love you, nor will I ever love you in this lifetime. You’ve been clinging to me for four years now, I’m truly fed up. Please just leave as far away as possible, and never appear in front of me again."
Li Chenghao yelled, his face ashen, perhaps due to anger, his wound pulling painfully.
Han Siyu put down the bowl in her hand, methodically tucking back a stray lock of hair behind her ear, her slightly reddened eyes filled with desolation, "Why can it only be Han Xi?"
Li Chenghao closed his eyes, no longer as agitated as before, "Xiao Xi is my life; I’m willing to give anything in exchange for her."
Han Siyu suddenly laughed, charming yet utterly desolate; she wiped away the tears at the corner of her eye, her voice even, with no hint of emotion, "Once you recover from your injuries, I promise I won’t entangle you anymore; but while you’re hospitalized, I will stay by your side and care for you. After all, I’m responsible for your injuries, otherwise, my conscience would be uneasy."
Li Chenghao opened his eyes with a frown, looking at Han Siyu in disbelief.
Han Siyu picked up the bowl from the table, scooping a spoonful of soup to bring to Li Chenghao’s lips, "Hurry up and drink; the sooner you recover, the sooner you can get rid of me."
For the first time in four years, Han Siyu said she wouldn’t entangle with him anymore, and Li Chenghao suddenly felt a strange emotion he couldn’t quite describe.
Han Siyu signaled him with her gaze to drink the soup quickly, and this time Li Chenghao didn’t refuse.
The ward door was pushed open from outside, and Li Chenghao’s assistant walked in carrying a bag of clothes to change into.
Han Siyu glanced at the person at the door, then smiled at Li Chenghao, "For the remaining days, I just want to take care of you alone. Could you let him go back?"
Li Chenghao turned his head to look at the bustling city lights outside the window, pondered for a few seconds, and then nodded towards his assistant.
The assistant understood and left with the bag.
When Han Xi came out of the shower in the evening, she found several delicate and expensive paper bags on the bed. As she wiped her hair with a towel, she walked over and opened them, her mouth agape in shock.
Lu Jinghan had just finished working in the study and pushed the door open to come in; seeing Han Xi’s tall figure under the light, he couldn’t help but wrap his arms around her from behind, resting his chin in the crook of her neck.
Han Xi looked up at him, "Lu Jinghan, why did you buy so many pairs of couple watches?"
Han Xi had just counted them; there seemed to be around fifteen or sixteen pairs in total, and each watch was extravagantly expensive, far pricier than the pair of couple watches she’d bought before.
