After the doctor finished treating the wound, he said it was nothing serious, reassuring Lu Jinghan, and then left.
Lu Jinghan gazed into Han Xi’s eyes, filled with tender entanglement. He raised his hand to tuck the few strands of stray hair from Han Xi’s forehead behind her ear, then lay down beside her, slowly drawing Han Xi into his arms.
When Han Xi woke up in the morning, Lu Jinghan was standing by the window on the phone. Due to just having taken a shower, his thick short hair was not completely dry yet.
As if by telepathy, Lu Jinghan turned around and his gaze met Han Xi’s in the air. He said a few words into the phone before hanging up, put the phone in his pants pocket, and strode over.
Lu Jinghan walked to the bedside without speaking to Han Xi, directly arranging the breakfast that Sister Zhang had just brought over.
Han Xi looked at the guy in frustration, knowing he was still angry. She reached out her small hand to tug at Lu Jinghan’s clothes, speaking pitifully, "I know I was wrong."

"Really? Was it your previous girlfriend?"
Although Han Xi knew the two of them were adults and couldn’t have no exes, thinking of Lu Jinghan having done such considerate things for another woman didn’t sit well with her.

Han Xi rolled her eyes at him and turned her gaze elsewhere.
