After landing, the staff helped them remove their gear. Tong Ze walked over and pulled Li Manman up from the ground: "If you’re still not satisfied, I’ll jump with you again."
Li Manman raised her hand to tie her wind-blown hair back again: "Forget it, my legs are already wobbly."
"Then I’ll carry you."
"No need, I can walk by myself."
Tong Ze shook his head with a silent chuckle and supported Li Manman as they walked forward.
After leaving the skydiving club, Tong Ze drove Li Manman home. The car stopped in front of the villa, and Tong Ze turned to look at her: "If you’re really feeling very upset, just cry. Or if there’s anywhere else you want to go, I can accompany you."
"I’m okay now, drive safely, I’m heading in first."
Li Manman unbuckled the seatbelt and got out of the car. Tong Ze watched her enter the villa before driving away.
Once home, Li Manman went straight upstairs. Her head felt like it was about to explode. After taking a hot shower in the bathroom, she lay down on the bed to sleep.
She was woken up in the evening by knocking on the door, Xu Lan’s voice coming from outside the bedroom: "Manman, come out and have dinner."
Li Manman rubbed her temples and sat up in bed, her voice hoarse: "I know, I’ll be right down."
She threw off the blanket, got out of bed, washed her face in the bathroom, and then went downstairs.
In the dining room, Li Shitian looked at her with concern: "Haven’t you and Feng Yi reconciled yet?"
"We broke up, seriously."
Li Manman picked up the chopsticks from the table, grabbed a piece of braised pork, and put it in her mouth, speaking as if nothing was wrong: "Why are you looking at me like that, Dad, Mom? Hurry up and eat."
Xu Lan was in no mood to eat: "Why did you break up? Did Feng Yi bully you?"
"He didn’t bully me. It’s just a breakup, why the big fuss? It’s not like I can’t get married."
Li Shitian put down his bowl and chopsticks, his deep voice showing displeasure: "I’m going to give that brat a good lesson. How dare he be so irresponsible? Is my daughter someone he can want or not want at will?"
"Don’t go, none of you are allowed to interfere with our business. I don’t need him to be responsible for me."
After Li Manman finished speaking angrily, she continued to eat from her bowl.
Xu Lan gestured to Li Shitian to signal him to stop talking for now.
"Manman, we won’t go looking for Feng Yi, but you have to tell Mom why you broke up."
Li Manman raised her head, frowned at Xu Lan: "Mom, it’s just a breakup, why do you have to get involved?"
Li Manman had been in love and broken up before, but she had never lived with anyone. Xu Lan knew this girl, knew she truly loved Feng Yi, so she was worried when she heard about the breakup.
"Alright, alright, your dad and I won’t interfere, let’s just eat."
Xu Lan sighed deeply, knowing the girl was in a bad mood and did not force it.
After dinner, Li Manman joined Xu Lan and them in the living room watching TV for a while before heading upstairs to sleep.
Early the next morning, Li Manman got up. After tidying up, she went downstairs.
"Dad, Mom, good morning."
Li Manman greeted Xu Lan and them with a smile, pulled a chair out at the dining table and sat down: "By the way, Mom, I want to go out and clear my mind today. Do you want to come with me?"
