"Why so sudden? We’re getting old and won’t be able to keep up with you. Let’s just forget it. Why not have Xiao Xi and Chu Ci accompany you instead."
"Alright, I understand."
After dinner, Li Manman went upstairs to get some things, saying she had something to do and needed to go out.
Twenty minutes later, Li Manman’s car stopped at the café downstairs from Fu Bin’s company. As she got out of the car, she saw Yu Shiyuan walking towards her.
"Sister Manman, I really didn’t expect you to invite me for coffee."
Li Manman looked at Yu Shiyuan’s gentle and innocent face, and coldly twitched her lips: "I didn’t expect to invite you for coffee either. Let’s go, don’t just stand here."
The two of them entered the café together. After ordering two cups of coffee, Li Manman spoke directly: "That day at the cinema, you intentionally called Feng Yi, right? You didn’t want the two of us to watch the movie, did you?"
"Sister Manman, you really misunderstood me."
Li Manman took a small sip of her coffee, a barely perceptible smile playing on her lips: "I’ve already broken up with Feng Yi, and he’s not here today. You don’t need to pretend; I just want to hear the truth from you."
Yu Shiyuan propped her chin up with one hand, gently rubbing the edge of her white coffee cup with the other: "Yes, you’re right, I did it on purpose that day. I like Brother Feng Yi, and I don’t want him to be with you."
"You took him to the hotel that day too, saying I was there with another man?"
Yu Shiyuan held a provocative smile on her lips, looking at Li Manman fearlessly: "Actually, I accidentally saw you enter the hotel with a man, and the next day I took Brother Feng Yi there. I was surprised that he believed me and not you."
Li Manman picked up the cup from the table and splashed it at Yu Shiyuan, the steaming coffee pouring all over Yu Shiyuan’s face: "Are you crazy? How dare you splash coffee on me?"
Li Manman stood up and, before Yu Shiyuan could react, slapped her twice hard: "If you dare to appear in front of me again, I’ll hit you every time I see you."
"Li Manman, you’re the crazy one. No wonder Brother Feng Yi doesn’t believe you. I’m just going to break you two apart."
Li Manman gave Yu Shiyuan a disdainful look, grabbed her bag from the chair, and left.
Everyone in the café turned their eyes in this direction, whispering amongst themselves.
Li Manman got into her car, took a deep breath, pulled out the recording pen from her bag, and put it into a small box on the passenger seat.
She leaned on the steering wheel, forcing herself to calm down for a long time before driving away.
The car soon stopped at the entrance to Lu Jinghan’s company. Li Manman took the small box from the passenger seat and got out, heading to the front desk of the lobby: "Please help me give this to your President Feng."
Li Manman had come to the company a few times before, so the receptionist remembered her: "You’re President Feng’s girlfriend, right? Don’t worry, I’ll personally deliver the item to President Feng."
Li Manman just smiled at the receptionist, but didn’t say anything and turned to leave.
The receptionist took the box and got into the elevator, and upon exiting saw Feng Yi and Lu Jinghan coming out of the meeting room together: "Hello, President Lu, President Feng."
"Anything for us?"
The receptionist looked starry-eyed at the two of them: "President Feng, your girlfriend just brought this over and asked me to give it to you."
