Half an hour later, Feng Yi prepared dinner, and Li Manman came out from the bathroom after showering. She suddenly realized that her nightgown was torn into pieces on the floor, and she only had that one garment. She picked up Feng Yi’s black shirt from the bed, wore it, and went downstairs.
Li Manman looked at the rich array of dishes on the dinner table, walked over to Feng Yi, and kissed his lips. The open neckline slipped down one shoulder, teasing a glimpse of her chest.
"Let’s sit down and eat."
Feng Yi’s refined Adam’s apple moved slightly, and he pulled the girl to sit down at the dinner table.
Looking at the table full of food, Li Manman felt particularly hungry. She smiled lightly and picked up the chopsticks to start eating.
After dinner, Li Manman originally wanted to clean up the table, but Feng Yi couldn’t wait and carried her upstairs. Even before dinner, he had been holding back, and now he couldn’t any longer.

The next day, Li Manman slept until around two in the afternoon before waking up. Last night, Feng Yi had been so relentless, and coupled with the lack of sleep the previous night, she was utterly exhausted.
She lifted the quilt to get out of bed, washed and dressed in the bathroom, then went downstairs.
Feng Yi was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, smoking. Hearing her, he turned around and extinguished the cigarette in his hand: "Why not sleep a little longer?"
"I’ve slept long enough. We need to go and register the marriage."
Li Manman walked over to hug Feng Yi: "Before going to the municipal bureau, I need to go home to get the household registration booklet."
"I picked it up this morning and also told your parents about our decision to register."
Li Manman lifted her head, a smile in her clear eyes: "Did my parents give you a hard time? When we were quarreling and almost breaking up, my dad insisted on coming to settle scores with you."
Feng Yi touched the girl’s face with his hand and nodded seriously: "Your father just said if I ever make you sad again, he will break my legs."
"And what did you say?"
Feng Yi leaned over to the girl’s ear, his voice clear and earnest: "If that time comes, I will break my own legs before he can."
At Li Family’s old house, Li Shitian indeed had a serious talk with Feng Yi. He said he only had this precious daughter, and both he and Xu Lan had cherished her from childhood. So, if the two of them wanted to register, they wouldn’t oppose it, but their only demand was to treat the girl well for their entire lives.
"I can’t bear to see you break your legs. I would cry myself into tears."
Feng Yi lowered his head to look at his watch and smiled: "I’ve already prepared the meal. After eating, we’ll go register."
"Alright."
The two sat together at the dining table, and after eating, they headed out.
The car soon stopped at the entrance to the municipal bureau. Feng Yi got out and held Li Manman’s hand, walking inside. Since Feng Yi had called ahead, there was a dedicated staff member to receive them. They took photos, made pledges, received their booklet, and the entire process took just fifteen minutes.
Exiting the municipal bureau’s door, Feng Yi took a ring out of his coat pocket: "After the New Year, we’ll have the wedding. For now, you’ll have to bear with it a bit."
"Not at all, hurry up and put the ring on me."
Li Manman couldn’t stop smiling. She really married Feng Yi, and her heart was still racing.
In the evening, Feng Yi invited everyone to dinner. A house full of people gathered, talking and laughing, except that Wen Yichen wasn’t there. He had been called back by the elderly lady this morning.
