"Han Xi, my boyfriend is back. Your good days are numbered."
Hearing the voice, Han Xi stopped in his tracks and cast a glance at her, cool and watery: "Are you sure that was your boyfriend just now? I couldn’t tell."
"Don’t boast. Nancy certainly isn’t afraid of Lu Jinghan. You’ll see."
Li Manman crossed her arms and chuckled, "Those four words, ’overestimating one’s capabilities,’ suit you perfectly. I couldn’t see that guy having any affection for you at all."
"You’re talking nonsense. Sooner or later, I’ll have you crying and begging me."
Chu Ci glanced at the enraged Han Yaxin and shook his head, "Stop wasting saliva on her. Let’s go inside."
Han Xi nodded, realizing staying here argue with her was pointless and time-wasting.
The three of them walked into the shop and sat by the window. After ordering some desserts and juices, Han Xi’s phone rang. She smiled lightly at the screen and pressed the answer button.
"Honey, did you throw up today?"
Lu Jinghan, holding a cigarette between his fingers, leaned against the floor-to-ceiling window. He had just finished a video meeting with the United States.
"No, I’m with Manman at the dessert shop."
"That’s good. If you get tired from shopping, go home and rest. I’ll come home and have lunch with you."
"Okay, I got it."
Right after she hung up, the store assistant brought over the desserts. Li Manman scooped up a spoonful of blueberry mousse and put it in her mouth, "You’re pregnant but Lu Jinghan seems more anxious than you are."
"He’s just worried I’ll throw up again."

"This Christmas Eve, the three of us will spend it alone. I don’t want to be disturbed by them."
Lu Jinghan had already started planning; it was their first Christmas Eve together.
