"President Gu, my sister is a bit stubborn, you might need to have more patience if you want to pursue her."
Gu Nanxi glanced at Zhong Li, who was silently eating, and a smile played on his lips, "You can just call me by my name from now on, President Gu sounds a bit distant."
"Alright, from now on both I and Jinghan will call you by your name."
Everyone chatted casually while eating. Han Xi deliberately mentioned a lot of things about Zhong Li from the past because she really hoped Zhong Li could find someone to rely on.
After finishing the meal, Han Xi and Lu Jinghan sat for a while before leaving. After seeing them off, Zhong Li looked at Gu Nanxi, who was still sitting on the couch, "Trouble you, President Gu, to leave as well. I want to sleep."

Gu Nanxi put Zhong Li’s phone in his pocket and went straight to the bedroom.
Zhong Li frowned and followed him, "What exactly are you doing? If you want to sleep, sleep in the living room."
"Why sleep on the sofa when there’s a perfectly good bed here? It’s a double bed, it’ll fit both of us just fine."
Zhong Li gave him a glance, then walked over to the bed to grab a pillow and blanket, "You’re the boss, you sleep on the bed, I’ll sleep on the sofa."
Gu Nanxi crossed his arms and leaned against the bed’s headboard, his chiseled lips slightly curved, saying nothing.
Zhong Li carried the blanket and pillow to the sofa in the living room. After working all day and cooking a whole table’s worth of food, she was now tired and sleepy, and soon fell asleep after lying down.

The next morning, Zhong Li opened her bleary eyes and, just as she was about to get up, she found herself being held by an arm, and let out a surprised scream.
"Morning."
Gu Nanxi’s voice was clear and slightly hoarse from just waking up. He rested his chin on Zhong Li’s neck, "Why are you screaming so loudly? I didn’t do anything to you."
Zhong Li turned her body to glare at Gu Nanxi, "I clearly slept on the sofa last night, why am I here now?"
"In the middle of the night, you came in on your own, saying you were cold and wanted me to hold you while you sleep."
Gu Nanxi lazily tightened his arm, speaking seriously as he fabricated nonsense. In reality, he had carried her in after she fell asleep.
"Impossible, let go of me."
Now their bodies were pressed together, and Zhong Li could sense a certain reaction from Gu Nanxi.
