"Okay, I got it."
Han Xi casually tied her long hair into a bun and looked at Lu Jinghan through the mirror, a sweet smile playing on her lips.
The two changed clothes and went downstairs, saying goodbye to Sister Zhang in the living room before leaving.
Outside, it had started snowing at some point. Lu Jinghan held Han Xi’s hand as they got into the car, leaned over to help her fasten the seatbelt, and then walked around the car to the driver’s seat.
The streets lit up as cars and pedestrians passed by. Snowflakes fell on the car windows and slowly melted.
The heater in the car was on high, and Han Xi leaned against the passenger seat, gazing at Lu Jinghan’s sharp side profile with a very gentle smile.
Lu Jinghan released his right hand from the steering wheel, interlocking fingers with the girl’s hand resting on his leg, gently rubbing his thumb on her smooth skin.
The car soon stopped in front of the restaurant. Han Xi pushed open the car door and got out, shivering slightly with the cold. Lu Jinghan took off his coat and draped it over Han Xi before holding her hand and leading her to the restaurant.
When they pushed open the door and walked into the private room, everyone was already there. They had no idea what the group was just talking about because Manman and Yan Xiao were laughing so hard.
Han Xi took off her coat and placed it on the couch beside her, "Why are you two laughing so much?"
"They’re teasing me," Fu Bin shook his head, resigned.
"You mentioned that Chu Ci went home for the holidays, and he happily tagged along. It felt like Chu Ci was bringing a little wife home for the holidays. Chu Ci’s parents called just now, and Fu Bin answered, immediately calling them mom and dad, leaving uncle and aunt dumbstruck."
Manman raised her hand to pour herself a glass of water, feeling like she was laughing her abs into shape.
Lu Jinghan helped Han Xi with her chair and sat down, looking up at Fu Bin, "You and Chu Ci went back home, so what happened to uncle and aunt?"
"Xiao Mi was with me. If I hadn’t stopped her, my mom would have joined us, saying she wanted to finalize the wedding plans."
Han Xi nudged Chu Ci with her arm, "Get married after having the baby, you’re his sooner or later."
"Yeah, that’s what we’re planning."
Manman hooked Feng Yi’s arm and said with a cheeky grin, "Why don’t we hold our wedding together at that time? It’ll be lively!"
Chu Ci nodded with a smile, agreeing to the proposal.
Feng Yi nodded towards the waiter to signal that they could start serving the dishes.
Since Han Xi came in, she noticed Qin Mi had been looking down at her phone, occasionally smiling, "Xiao Mi, has Yichen been in touch with you recently?"
She was worried that while Wen Yichen was away, Qin Mi might be taken by another man. Her protective instinct was off the charts.
Qin Mi looked up, embarrassed, pointing at her phone, "We’re texting on WeChat."
Upon hearing Qin Mi’s response, Han Xi felt relieved. Judging by the way she was smiling at her phone earlier, it seemed like love.
The waiter quickly served the dishes, and Lu Jinghan leaned over to help Han Xi with some food on her plate, advising her to eat more.
Manman had drunk a lot of water earlier and was now pulling Han Xi along to accompany her to the restroom. As they walked out of the private room, they happened to bump into Tong Ze.
Since Manman and Feng Yi got their marriage certificate, she hadn’t met Tong Ze alone. Tong Ze had contacted Manman several times, but she always made excuses that she was busy.
