“If you don’t let me come to your room, you can come to mine.” He said cheerfully, “I’ve been longing for you for a long, long time!”
“I don’t want to bother with you.” She rolled her eyes at him.
The sun set, and the moon rose.
The bright moon hung high in the sky, and the deep blue sky was dotted with sparse blinking stars.
A breeze blew through, bringing a refreshing coolness.
“Why hasn’t the second brother returned from hunting yet?” Su Qingyue said softly.
“What? Worried about the second brother?” Xiao Yuchuan walked over, “Don’t worry, second brother is always cautious. Hunting accidents rarely happen to him. This time I told him to mind his safety, so don’t worry.”
“Hunting is dangerous. I think we should let the second brother stop.” Su Qingyue contemplated for a moment, “Our family is well-off now. Let’s buy more fields.”
“Whatever you want, just do it.” He smiled and nodded. As long as she was willing to stay by his side, anything would be fine.
At that moment, Xiao Yishan’s tall silhouette walked into the yard. He had a hunted animal on his shoulder and two wild chickens tied with grass rope in his hand. Seeing Su Qingyue, his voice was very excited, “Wife, I’m back!”
“Second brother.” Su Qingyue nodded at him.
Xiao Yishan threw the hunted animal and wild chickens into a corner of the yard.
The hunted animal turned out to be a roe deer. Judging by the size of the roe deer, it weighed almost sixty jin.
Big mixed fur ran over, sniffed the dead animal, showed no interest, and sat down next to Su Qingyue’s feet.
“Today’s harvest was abundant. I hunted a roe deer and two wild chickens,” Xiao Yishan said with some excitement. “Wife, I’ll sell the roe deer tomorrow, and with the money we get, we’ll buy seeds for our vegetable fields. The wild chickens will be used to make soup for you to nourish your body.”
She smiled faintly, “Second brother, I have already bought the seeds.”
