The Stargazing Witch & The Dungeon Planet Chapter 115

Chapter 89: Avoid Doing Something Stupid

Whenever Espoiramissa warned me to be careful, you know what? For once, I listened and obeyed the said instructions. Espr for better or worse, trusted me mostly when it came to fighting and surviving, so any warning had to be at least taken seriously.

By that logic, I could’ve chosen not to follow the group leaving the tower. However, I was ominously curious about the magnetic feeling, and they were being chased by so many people, so having more pests to kill was also great.

Jumping from building to building, I followed the one group that I had my eyes set on. Thankfully, it was really easy to keep track of them thanks to whatever was causing the reaction with my soul pressure.

In the process, I took another detour and killed a couple of pirates.

Before long, they had entered the oval and I lost visual sight of them.

(“ Say goodbye to the stars again ”)

Haha. I sarcastically laughed.

I followed them inside. I didn’t know exactly where the entrances to the underground tunnels were, but I have been around the station enough times now to know the general stick of how this place was constructed. The upper segment proved to be no exception to this rule.

Quickly, I did find the entrance. It was covered in blood and half melted. The door still did work, and I opened it and walked down the long ramp to the underground segment.

Once I reached the bottom level, I was met with several hallways with directional signs indicating the direction to the bunker. From here, the hallways lead to many places, including service rooms and the docks.

What a nice and welcoming place.

(“ They’ve taken inspiration from the current design upstairs ”)

Bodies littered the hallways all the way down the passages. There was no way of knowing if all these corpses were from the party that I just saw rush inside before, or if multiple groups had met their fate travelling down these halls.

Bringing danger right to the civilians–how nice of them.

Only moments away were the heavily reinforced doors of one of the civilian bunkers. There were thousands of people inside that I could sense with my soul pressure. I doubted the Dominous Hood folks would go in and murder them unless they knew someone was hiding inside with one of the items. This wasn’t me thinking they had a heart or anything, but realistically speaking, they had a mission on a time limit to do, and worthless side objectives weren’t the best thing to try and do under such circumstances.

Maybe they had some people infiltrate the bunkers…

It wasn’t a crazy idea to place a simple thief in a place where everyone would gather in an emergency situation they knew was going to happen.

My head turned towards the door for a moment, and I debated it.

Let’s leave them alone…

Even if there was someone, it wasn’t worth risking the civilians' lives for potentially nothing.

In the distance, I heard numerous voices chaotically yelling at each other.

“Activate it. Let’s go and hide!”

“Ummm, I’m not sure about this boss.

“HURRY UP! We don’t have all day.”

“ARGH! They are here!”

“It’s starting to open, make a move, on!”

I ran towards the voices and broke into a room with a number of guards, two Dominous Hood-looking dudes, a VIP in a bright yellow suit with transparent armour that allowed it to still be seen, and a bright portal to a dungeon.

Two of the guards jumped through and started clearing the weak monsters on the other side.

(“ Stop, Ceella. Whatever you do, don’t go through the portal ”)

As Espr said, at the same time I said back. Isn’t that the Paradise Dungeon Orb thing? The totally safe portal dungeon item.

Without warning, the closest Dominous Hood grunt lunged towards me, but I grabbed the Dominous Hood member by the arm and flung them right through the portal.

“HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! THAT’S MY EXIT!” Yelled the man in a yellow suit.

They were sent to the other side to have a nice meet and greet with the two guards. Before I could do anything else and deal with the other Dominous Hood goon.

An explosion went off, throwing the whole room off balance.
