The Stargazing Witch & The Dungeon Planet Chapter 20

Side Chapter Metous 3: What Once Was Lost

“Here you go, a bouquet of Roscania,” Tella handed over the arrangement of flowers she just put together.

The young girl received the flowers, “Thank you!” Having already paid she left in a hurry.

“Oh my, I hope she doesn’t cause too much of a mess.” The shop owner slyly sighed.

Tyell looked over to her old friend, “Dear, you really need to get a girlfriend.”

“I tryyyyyy,” she placed a pot plant in the sun, “But it never seems to work out.”

Tella remarked, “Then stop trying to find them at parties, you’re too old for that.”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, but I’ll prove you wrong.”

“Says the person who hasn’t dated someone for more than a week,” said Tella bluntly.

“Welllll,” The owner handed Tella the next list of orders, “have you found someone?”

“Obviously not,” Tella replied with venom in her tone.

The owner's blue crystal eyes stared at Tella’s back and her cheeks puffed, “Don’t lie, you’ve been much happier recently.”

Yes, she had been happier. Finally having the needed discussion with her daughter, opening her heart out. It did make her sad, however, that it took her witnessing her darling children fight to snap her out of her trance.

“Jenna,” Tella sternly spoke, slightly turning her head “Chris is the only one for me.”

Her red hair swayed, and Jenna continued “It has been over a yea–”

“Jenna!” Tella snapped, “Maybe the reason you haven’t got a girlfriend is cause they all noticed you're an insensitive bitch.”

After that response, Jenna was stunned silent, while Tella continued with her work at an accelerated pace.

Jenna might have been her friend, but she wouldn’t forgive anyone who suggest she should be unfaithful! Even if he had passed, for her, he was the only one. There will never be anyone else.

“Sorry, Tella.” Jenna bowed, “I was wrong.”

Some people could move on and find new love, but Tella wasn’t one of those people. She hoped her friends should know this by now. But Jenna wasn’t the only one Tella gave a stern yell to.

“Well remember that,” Tella scorned.

They didn’t talk much for the rest of the day’s shift. Jenna tried, but Tella didn’t reply to anything but work-related questions.

“See you tomorrow,” Tella declared as she finished today’s shift.

“Goodbye…” Jenna replied, deeply reflecting on her fuck-up, but glad Tella would still be coming tomorrow.

Tella began her short walk home. A forty-minute stroll, for some this seemed to be a stupid distance to walk every day for work, especially if they didn’t have a physically enhancing Vocation. But Chris’s behaviour rubbed off on her, and she learnt to love these methodical walks to and from home, enjoying the scenery and people.

Ding Tella got a message on her phone.

Tella had submitted the documents needed for an auto case. This was instead of a trial, the facts of the case were looked over by a group from the judicial system.

This was usually only done for easy-to-win cases. After its completion, both parties would be sent the result. And if either weren’t happy with the result, then they could choose to repeat the court in person, but penalties would be applied to the party who wished to repeat the case if the same conclusion was reached.

The case should be easily won and she was sure to squeeze every cent she could as those NextEdge bastards. She even got permission from Ceella to post her story to the public to gain sympathy points and further strangle NextEdge. But Ceella planned to be off planet before that happened, so she wouldn’t have to deal with the initial spotlight–which should only last for a month at most.

Besides the auto case, Tella had much she needed to do!

Realising she hadn’t been the best mum while dealing with Ceella’s ‘death’. By no means bad, but she knows she missed out on Visit NovelHub for more amazing novels and chapters.

Mella needed her when Ceella and Chris left them, but she was too busy wallowing in her own despair. She ignored Tyell's injuries, continually buying the excuses he gave. He rarely got injuries anymore, but in her mind, she should’ve prevented him from keeping that job after the first.

Planning to have a one-on-one with Tyell asking him to change jobs later. And apologies directly to Mella for not Visit NovelHub for more amazing novels and chapters.

Tella walked into the house, and a smile formed on her face. Seeing a sight, that for a long time, she could only dream of.

Mella, Tyell and Ceella sitting in the lounge room, watching tv, eating snacks, acting like a family.

“Missed you, mum! Come join us.”

Oldest to youngest, they all welcomed her back. Two of them might be over twenty, but they would always be her precious little children.

To guide and protect them in her own ways for as long as she lived. For that, she would never let herself be lost again.
