"Huh?" Mia Ginger was taken aback, "No."
"Aren’t you part of our dorm?" The girl seemed a bit confused, looking around, and her gaze landed on the only empty desk, "You’re the only one who’s not here."
As she finished speaking, the few people busy organizing their things all looked at her.
Only then did Mia Ginger notice that next to each bed was a sticker with a student number and name.
There were six beds, but only the one in the middle on the left was empty.
It was supposed to be Windsor Myres’s.
"I’m Mia Ginger," Mia Ginger snapped back to reality, smiled, glanced around, and walked to the innermost bed by the window next to Windsor Myres’s, where a corner was clearly marked with her name.
Mia Ginger’s gaze fell on the brand new washbasin on the desk.
With her delicate brows slightly furrowed, she moved the washbasin.
Along with it, she pushed the large red leather suitcase by her foot to the middle desk.
"That means she probably placed it in the wrong spot." The girl who spoke earlier stuck out her tongue and said with a smile, "I’m Tong Tong, with the surname Tong as in childhood, and the name Tong as in wutong tree."
Tong Tong had a round face and a deep dimple when she smiled, dressed in a T-shirt and overalls, looking very cute.
Mia Ginger nodded and smiled, "I’m Mia Ginger, ginger as in the spice, and ginger in ’Qing Qing Zi Jin’ poem."
The girl making the bed was the plumpest among them, cheerfully said, "I’m Mina Lee, the Li of wood and the Min of agile. We’re like family now, so let’s look out for each other."
Her enthusiastic and relaxed words made the dorm atmosphere familiar and friendly.
The girl on the bed opposite Mia Ginger turned around, nodded, and smiled, "I’m Blair Chester, with the character Jin like in ’feminine’ and Yi as in ’appropriate joy and anger’."
Blair Chester wore wedge sandals and was tall and graceful, with shoulder-length smooth, dark hair, as if suitable for a shampoo commercial, a standard oval face, and clear, beautiful features, an elegant goddess-like girl who captivates the eye. Yet, as she spoke, there was a restrained politeness, slightly aloof, exuding a powerful aura.
Clearly, a girl naturally brings a sense of pressure to others of the same gender.
Mia Ginger was very perceptive.
She naturally sensed the dorm atmosphere freeze for a moment.
The girl next to Blair Chester smiled and introduced herself, "I’m Wren King, Wren as in silk, very nice to meet you all."
"Mia Ginger, Blair Chester, Wren King, your names are really lovely," Mina Lee pointed her finger around and finally landed on Tong Tong, laughing and saying, "Ours, Tong Tong’s and mine, are the easiest to remember. I heard military training starts tomorrow. After we sign in tonight, how about we go out for dinner?"
"Why not?" Tong Tong responded with a smile, then looked at Mia Ginger and hesitated for a moment before calling out to her.
"Well... Windsor Myres, when she came earlier, seemed to have a bodyguard with her."
"Ah!" The others clearly hadn’t seen it, Mina Lee exclaimed dramatically, "Bodyguard?"
"I’m not sure," Tong Tong finished sweeping the floor, sat on a chair, hesitated, "Just saw a tall and strong man in a black suit, a tattoo on his wrist, looked pretty formidable, called her... oh, right, Miss Fifth."
"Miss Fifth?" Mina Lee exclaimed incredulously, mysteriously, "Could it be... from that Myres Family?"
"Which Myres Family?" Wren King asked curiously.
