Several people kept glancing up at her, as if scrutinizing.
The gaze made her extremely uncomfortable.
After quickly marking attendance, Mia Ginger furrowed her brows and went to the restroom at the end of the hallway.
Soon after entering the stall, she heard a girl’s voice outside.
"Do you think it’s true or not?"
"It might be," another girl’s voice said thoughtfully, "You all saw her pendant during military training, you can tell at a glance it’s valuable."
"Maybe she just comes from a wealthy family."
The last syllable of the girl’s words hadn’t even come out before a loud slap was heard outside.
"Who are you talking about?" Windsor Myres sneered, wearing high heels, and exuded a sense of superiority.
The girl who spoke last was from class eight; during military training, they happened to be in the same line, and naturally knew Windsor Myres was not someone easy to mess with. After enduring a slap, she dared not make a sound.
Windsor Myres clearly didn’t intend to let her go, pinched her chin with long slender fingers, and mocked, "What’s wrong with someone like Mia Ginger?"
That was going too far.
The girl speaking shook off her hand, "Windsor Myres, don’t bully people too much!"
"What’s wrong with bullying you?!" Windsor Myres grabbed her hair without any scruples.
"Let go of me." The girl turned and struggled with her.
The two girls nearby hurriedly tried to break them apart.
In the chaos, the girl from earlier was slapped again by Windsor Myres, completely enraged, shouted loudly, "Bitch. What’s there to be proud of with a face like yours! You’re so seductive, yet even when you throw yourself at him, he doesn’t want you, he likes someone like Mia Ginger."
The "him" in her words was clearly Camden River.
She had touched Windsor Myres’ sore spot.
Just as she was about to explode, a stall door suddenly swung open with a bang.
Mia Ginger walked out with a cold face.
Among the four outside, besides Windsor Myres and the cursing one, the remaining two were from class seven.
For some reason, seeing her made them a bit scared.
"Someone like me?" Mia Ginger smiled as she approached the girl and playfully asked, "Someone like me, what kind of person? Pure and sweet on the outside, but actually able to seduce men? Hmm?"
During military training, the girl was in the ninth row, and out of habit, seeing her made her somewhat uneasy.
"Just because of a pendant?" Mia Ginger looked at her and continued, "You say I was hooking up with a sugar daddy during military training?"
She couldn’t help but sneer, "Don’t you have any brains? That pendant was hanging around my neck on the first day of training!"
Her last sentence suddenly escalated in tone, startling the girl.
"We didn’t mean anything by it, just heard some gossip and made a casual comment."
"Mia Ginger, don’t take it to heart."
"I just said it casually, didn’t mean anything." Even the harshest girl was feeling guilty, awkwardly explaining.
"Didn’t mean anything?" As Mia Ginger spoke, she suddenly raised her hand, and "smack," landed a slap on the cheek where there wasn’t yet a mark, smiled and said, "I just slapped you casually too, didn’t mean anything, don’t take it to heart."
