Mia Ginger was awakened by the endless ringing of her phone.
She has a slight case of morning grumpiness.
Barefoot, she got out of bed, reached out to messily brush her hair twice before she became somewhat awake, and fished her phone out from the backpack on the floor.
Just thinking about it, she knew for sure it was because of Zuri Ginger’s words.
Mia was too lazy to pick up.
She put the phone on the table, ignored it, slipped on her slippers, turned on the light, and began sorting out the things she bought in the room one by one.
First clothes and shoes, then books and decorations.
By the time it was past eight o’clock, she finally finished organizing.
There were seven missed calls on the phone, all from Charlotte Chester.
Mia pursed her lips and dialed back. As soon as the call connected, she explained first: "I was just sleeping."
"You child, sleeping at this time, can you still sleep at night?" Charlotte Chester changed her usual sharp words, her voice unbelievably gentle.
Mia stared at the phone in amazement.
"Have you had dinner?" Charlotte Chester asked again over the phone.
"Hmm, it’s better to eat less at night, otherwise your stomach might feel uncomfortable when you sleep." Charlotte Chester was extremely thoughtful; until the call ended, she hadn’t mentioned the fight between her and Zuri Ginger, as if this call was solely to show concern for her dinner.

Charlotte Chester glanced at Zuri Ginger sitting beside her, her tone gentle, "We don’t need to mention today’s events anymore. Marianne is younger and impulsive, it’s not your fault if a row breaks out. But for now, Mia and Young Master Jackson are getting along well, this marriage may be almost certain."
Zuri Ginger looked up at her, her eyes slightly red.
"Mom knows you’ve been wronged," Charlotte Chester held her hand, comforting, "But this marriage was originally arranged for Mia and Young Master Jackson, now that she’s back, there’s no choice in the matter. You’re grown up now, you understand these things even if I don’t say them."
"Yes." Zuri Ginger replied softly.

"Thanks, Mom." Zuri Ginger forced a smile, "I’ll go rest upstairs now."
Once the words fell, she turned and went upstairs.
