Old Master Jackson was taken aback for a moment.
He lifted his eyes and looked over at Mia Ginger.
Aiden Jiang wasn’t quite clear about the situation, so he also looked over at Mia. However, next to him, Charlotte Chester suddenly thought of that phone call from Louis Cox and cast a complicated glance at Mia.
Mia suddenly laughed.
The smile was very faint, just a slight curve of the lips, seemingly self-mocking, puzzling everyone in the living room.
Lydia Williams felt vindicated.
Looking at her, she smiled and reprimanded, "Mia, this is where you’re wrong. You should have told everyone earlier if you had a boyfriend. Even if you’re young, you can’t treat relationships as child’s play, juggling two relationships! What do you think our Koa is?!"
This line successfully hit Old Master Jackson’s soft spot.
"I’m not dating anyone." Mia didn’t look at her, just lifted her eyes to Old Master Jackson and said slowly, "Grandpa Jackson, I’m not dating anyone, it’s all baseless rumors."
"This child!" Lydia clearly had a bit of anger, her voice slightly elevated, "Still spouting lies at this point!"
"Dad!" She looked at the old man solemnly, "Zane has inquired it all, this girl has been ambiguously involved with that Cox boy for almost ten years. Not a single thing, supposed to happen or not, has been missed; they’re as close as they can be, she’s just not a proper and decent girl!"
"If you want to accuse someone, you can always find a pretext." Mia sneered.
She did have dealings with Louis, but those couldn’t be explained in a few words. She couldn’t stop Louis’s care for Camilia Davis, and over time she naturally felt grateful, but it ended there.
She had never actively sought him out, no matter how difficult, she had never bowed her head to him all these years.
Why is this so relentlessly pressed?
"Hey, you child!" Lydia couldn’t be bothered to pretend anymore, she directly turned to look at Zoey Leaf and Little Patten standing on the side, justifying herself boldly, "You guys speak up!"
Immediately, everyone lifted their eyes and looked over.
Zoey and Little Patten had never encountered such a scene, they exchanged a complicated glance, and both looked at Mia in unison but kept silent.
Mia also looked at them calmly.
"She said earlier, both of them are her friends, and Zane specially brought them here, also afraid you were deceived, unfairly wronging Koa." Lydia said softly to Old Master Jackson.
Old Master Jackson glanced at Mia.
After lowering his head to think for a moment, he smiled at the two of them, "Go ahead, just say what you know, no need to be nervous."
Little Patten glanced at Mia, then gritted his teeth, "Sister Mia is indeed Fourth Bro’s girlfriend, it’s been quite a while, everyone knows it."
Lydia let out a very light, mocking laugh.
Mia was slightly taken aback, looking at the flushed face of Little Patten; after a moment, she didn’t say anything, then slowly turned her gaze to Zoey Leaf’s face, "Zoey Leaf, am I Louis’s girlfriend?"
Zoey couldn’t get the words out, looking troubled.
"Am I?" Mia asked again.
"She," Zoey turned to Old Master Jackson, hesitatingly said, "She doesn’t quite count as Louis’s girlfriend, they just have a very good relationship, I... I’m not very sure."
"How good?" Lydia asked, "Did they spend the night together?"
"You..." The old man frowned, about to rebuke, when he heard a voice as soft as a mosquito, "Just a few times."
"Zoey Leaf!" Mia called through gritted teeth.
