"Hello." Su Yu greeted her with a slight nod, her face showing no excessive emotion, "I’ve finalized all the vendors settling in, did your financing go well?"
"By the time everything is ready on your end, my funds will be in place," she replied.
"Perfect, I’ve been busy for so long, getting so many things done for you, don’t you think a reward is due?" Su Yu looked at Jun Mochan, her eyes twinkling with a mischievous smile.
Her facial features were naturally three-dimensional, and with her blossoming smile, she looked dazzlingly beautiful.
"I reward you with a week’s vacation, and double bonus," Jun Mochan responded indifferently.
Witnessing such an alluring smile, Ye Ranran admired him for his stoic response.
Su Yu pouted, "As a singleton, I don’t really know what to do with a holiday, why not come with me? You used to accompany me on vacation."
"Director Su, trying to entice my man in front of me isn’t very nice, is it?" Before Jun Mochan could reply, Ye Ranran chimed in.
She was subtle, not naive. Su Yu was trying to put her in her place - and she had no intention of letting her succeed.
Jun Mochan held Ye Ranran tighter, "As you can see, I’m being watched. Director Su, you’re so outstanding, there must be countless people willing to accompany you."
"Just a joke, you’re so jittery." Su Yu shrugged, "The report is on your desk, check it when you’re free."
After Su Yu left the office, Ah Chuan quickly placed the documents down, "President, here are the documents you requested."
As Jun Mochan nodded his head, Ah Chuan quickly left.
In the office, only Ye Ranran and Jun Mochan were left.
Ye Ranran stepped out of Jun Mochan’s embrace, looking calmly at him, "Mr. Jun, don’t you think you should explain just now?"
"What kind of explanation does Madame Jun need? We were just discussing work," Jun Mochan replied with a smile.
Ye Ranran pouted, "She invited you to go on vacation with her in front of me. And she also mentioned that you used to accompany her."
Although Su Yu didn’t say anything specific, the occasional flicker of melancholy in her eyes didn’t escape Ranran’s notice.
"So, is Madame Jun jealous?" The smile on Jun Mochan’s face deepened.
Facing Jun Mochan’s profound gaze, Ye Ranran blushed and reflexively raised her voice as if to bolster her confidence, "I’m the one asking right now."
"She has always taken an interest in me, but I’ve never reciprocated. My affections are solely for Madame Jun."
"About what she said regarding vacation, it was when the company was getting listed overseas. We all went to see the local scenery as a way to unwind. Is this explanation satisfactory to Madame Jun?"
"Your statement, who knows whether it’s true or false. If I find out it’s a lie ..."
Jun Mochan caught her hand, bringing her into his embrace, "If I lie, you have my permission to punish me as you see fit, how about that?"
"Now that sounds more like it." Ye Ranran’s eyes sparkled as she wrapped her arms around Jun Mochan’s neck.
Her eyes were shining, as if tiny diamonds were embedded within.
"I’m very pleased with Madame Jun’s response," Jun Mochan said, holding her closer in his arms.
A usually low-profile Ye Ranran would not fight back or compete unless pushed to the brink.
He thought that it would at least take Su Yu to make a move before she would speak up, but unexpectedly she launched the first offensive.
Did this mean that he did have a place in her heart after all?
