Ye Ranran assessed her appearance and promptly gave up.
Beside her was the balcony of another room, Ye Ranran gauged the distance with her eyes.
All she needed was to try harder, to stretch her arms a bit farther, and there would be no problem.
With that thought, she stepped outside the window, standing on the air-conditioner unit.
Stretching her arms further, she lowered her body flat, reaching out.
She could just reach the railing of the other balcony, but damn it, her foot seemed to be hooked on something.
Ye Ranran rolled her eyes.
She tried to move, reached out again, and finally got her foot free.
The rest was easy, Ye Ranran deftly climbed to the balcony on the opposite side.
Clapping her hands and grinning, climbing trees in her childhood truly did come in handy!
All she needed now was to borrow a phone, call for a pick-up, then deal with those enemies!
Feeling cheerful, Ye Ranran walked in.
This room was far nicer than the previous one, entering from the balcony into a small living room.
There was a sofa, a TV, a table, all the necessities.
A bouquet of fresh flowers sat on the table, filling the room with a faint floral fragrance.
Ye Ranran didn’t have the time to take it all in, instead, she scanned the room for any occupants.
If the room was empty, she could "borrow" the computer.
Just as Ye Ranran was about to act, the bathroom door opened.
Amid the steaming mist, appeared a man of breathtaking appearance, if only it weren’t Chu Ji, she would’ve been quite pleased.
It was winter, fiercely cold. As soon as she opened the window, Ye Ranran was shivering uncontrollably.
Plus, her foot was stuck and took her about ten minutes to free it, she spent a total of twenty minutes outside.
So even though she’s been inside for a couple of minutes now, her face was suitably pale.
And Chu Ji, fresh from a bath, appeared like a deity graced with etherealness.
Ye Ranran rolled her eyes in annoyance, damn, she actually thought he looked like a fairy!
The sudden appearance of an extra person in the room made Chu Ji pause, recognizing the unexpected intruder, he instantly smiled.
"**** your sister!" Ye Ranran shot back disdainfully!
Chu Ji walked over, "Then why are you dressed in front of me?"
"Pretending to be defenseless for allure? I must admit, well executed."
The curtain obscured most of Ye Ranran’s body, revealing only her flawless shoulders.
Her delicate collarbone glittered under the light, like creamy white jade dew.
Chu Ji’s towering figure completely shadowed petite Ye Ranran.
Yet, Ye Ranran did not back down, she met Chu Ji’s provocative gaze courageously.
"Having no money, no power, and nothing but a pretty face, you really think I’m ****?"
"What gave you such confidence?"
Her words were anything but polite.
Yet Chu Ji appeared unfazed, he extended his hand towards Ye Ranran.
She moved back slightly, avoiding his touch.
"Then why are you here, care to explain?"
"To borrow your door," Ye Ranran stepped back to a safe distance.
She changed her mind, she didn’t plan to borrow his phone anymore. Once she’s out the door, she could ask at the front desk.
But Chu Ji didn’t intend to let her off the hook that easily.
