He stood in front of her, arms folded, a smile on his face. "Did I allow you to leave?"
"What? Are you going to make a move on me, a married woman?" Ye Ranran wasn’t intimidated by him.
"Rumor has it that I specifically target married women, isn’t it?" Chu Ji moved a little closer, his warm breath fanning against her face.
The inappropriate proximity alarmed Ye Ranran, "Really? Mayor Chu is currently under investigation, and the results aren’t out yet. Are you trying to give them more to talk about?"

Just as Ye Ranran was pondering, the door suddenly swung open from outside.
"Scoundrel!" Without warning, Ye Ranran slapped Chu Ji.
"Ah, you guys..." A high-pitched scream came from the door.
Caught off guard by Ye Ranran’s sudden slap, Chu Ji held onto Ye Ranran’s shoulders even tighter!
"Let go now!" Ye Ranran ordered sharply, not wanting to get entangled in this situation.
"Let go?" Chu Ji applied a bit more force and Ye Ranran ended up snuggled in his arms, tightly restrained by his arms.
Ye Ranran didn’t struggle. She hadn’t forgotten that she was barely clad in a curtain; any excessive force might leave her completely exposed!
"Chu, what’s going on here?" A woman rushed in from the doorway to confront Chu Ji.
The woman, bruised by Chu Ji’s rebuke, immediately welled up.
"Why be so heartless?" Afraid that the woman might leave, Ye Ranran quickly spoke. She had slapped Chu Ji, she couldn’t risk being alone with him now.
"I only reserve my love for you, is that what you desire?" Chu Ji’s lips grazed Ye Ranran’s face.
Just as Ye Ranran was about to give him a kick, the woman stepped forward to separate them.
Chu Ji cast her a murderous look, "I told you to get out!"
The woman began whining and crying as she ran away.
