The receptionist, upon seeing the usually aloof chairman interact kindly and personally greet the unfamiliar woman, realized things were not good. Fearing that Gu Shengyin might use this opportunity to complain about her, the position she had fought hard to secure could be gone in an instant.
However, Gu Shengyin merely smiled and said, “I’m a bit tired and decided to rest a bit before going up.”
Chairman Zhang nodded understandingly and left with a laugh, having matters to attend to elsewhere.
