Rong Qingqing got injured, but at least Shen Jue was in her room, which made Mr. Rong feel a bit better.
If Rong Qingqing was in distress and Shen Jue stayed in his room without coming out, Mr. Rong might just take Rong Qingqing back to the Rong Family in a fit of anger.
"Grandpa, my sister’s brain is addled from the impact. Her words shouldn’t be heeded." Rong Ming insisted, "We’ve been guests at someone else’s house for several days now and still haven’t returned. What does that look like? Are we just going to shamelessly stay here without leaving?"

Rong Qingqing weakly said, "Rong Ming, do you also think I’ve gone deaf from the impact?"

Pausing at this point, Shen Jue added, "Beat him to the point where he won’t be able to get out of bed for three or five days."
Then, he quickly corrected, "Give him a concussion."
Rong Qingqing’s heart was fixated on giving Shen Xingwei a concussion, so it seemed fitting to fulfill her wish.
"What are you standing around for? Aren’t you going to do it? I want to see Shen Xingwei’s concussion diagnosis tonight," Shen Jue said, "If the task isn’t done well, you won’t have your bonus next year."
"Boss, I’ll go right away! I’ll make sure it’s done well!" Lin Bufan received the task and quickly left.
The evening meal came, and Nanny Zhao brought a bowl of congee to Rong Qingqing’s room. An hour later, she returned it to the kitchen untouched.
After receiving an IV drip, Rong Qingqing fell asleep. She woke up briefly but didn’t have an appetite for dinner.
Guo Lan visited Rong Qingqing’s room multiple times, but she was always asleep.
At 10:30 PM, Lin Bufan returned, looking crestfallen.
Upon entering, he dragged a chair over to sit in front of Shen Jue and let out a sigh.
Shen Jue briefly looked up, "Did you handle it?"
Lin Bufan shook his head, explaining rather dejectedly, "Boss, it’s not that I’m incompetent. It’s Shen Xingwei who didn’t give us a chance!"
Lin Bufan was about to explode with frustration.
"Our guys hadn’t even made a move yet. We heard that Miss Qingqing was seriously hurt, and Shen Xingwei insisted on visiting her. He rushed down the stairs, but his leg was injured, so it gave out, and he ended up rolling down."
Lin Bufan spread his hands, "After Shen Xingwei got up, he immediately fainted again. The family doctor took a look and said he hit his head while rolling down, causing a concussion—more severe than Miss Qingqing’s. They promptly sent him to the hospital."
Lin Bufan was really frustrated, utterly so.

Shen Jue’s lips twitched a couple of times, and he couldn’t hold back his laughter.
Perhaps Rong Qingqing’s grudge was so deep that even the heavens decided to assist her.
"For now, it’s safe," Shen Jue spoke in good spirits, "You go back and rest. I’ll go next door to check on her."
