Since they were related, Rong Ming and Shen Qiao got along well, and sometimes they would even run into each other at school and grab a meal together in the cafeteria or something.
Rong Qingqing would send things back home, sometimes asking Shen Qiao to help deliver them, or having Rong Ming pass them to Shen Qiao.
But now, whenever Shen Qiao occasionally saw him at school, she would immediately turn and walk away.

After hearing Rong Qingqing’s brief explanation, he learned that it was Rong Jiaojiao and Shen Xingwei who started it, and upon hearing Rong Jiaojiao and Rong Qingqing talk about how they were genuinely in love and wished for approval, Rong Ming almost vomited.
"Really, what kind of mother raises what kind of daughter." Rong Ming cursed under his breath, "It’s like being disgusted kicked into a whole new level of disgust!"
"Enough about me, what about you? Skipping class early in the morning?" Rong Qingqing asked, "Did Grandpa and the others know you came to find me?"
Rong Ming replied in a muffled voice, "No, I snuck out to ask the teacher for leave. Such a big thing happened, and you didn’t even tell me. I was worried, so I came to find you myself. Since the marriage can’t be changed, why don’t you go back to live with the Rong family?"
"Grandpa Shen and Grandpa want me to stay here to develop a relationship with Shen Jue, and I also don’t want to go back to the Rong family to see Rong Jiaojiao and her family’s annoying faces, so I agreed to stay here."
Rong Qingqing patted Rong Ming’s shoulder. "Don’t worry, I’m living quite well here."

Once inside, Guo Lan casually asked her, "What did Rong Jiaojiao stop the car to tell you?"
Guo Lan asked mainly because she was worried that Rong Jiaojiao might intentionally say something to provoke Rong Qingqing.
"She said she and Shen Xingwei might have their engagement party tomorrow," Rong Qingqing replied.
"Tomorrow? That fast?" Guo Lan was utterly surprised. "They only confirmed it yesterday, and the engagement party is tomorrow?"
