As a gentle and charming voice rang out, everyone looked up to see Eleanor Spencer approaching. Her elegance was captivating; she wore a white knee-length dress and nude high heels, with evenly beautiful calves. Her long, curly hair draped over her shoulders, and she walked over with a smile, like a gentle angel.
The arrival of Eleanor made everyone feel a sense of relief and joy, as if liberated from tension.
"Isabel, you’re here," Titan Jennings approached obsequiously and said with a smile, "There’s been a bit of trouble with the crew. Why don’t you go and sit inside for a while? There’s air conditioning in there. Let the makeup artist get your makeup done, and we’ll start filming shortly."
Eleanor Spencer nodded gently at Titan, casually glancing over in this direction with a slightly surprised expression. Her mouth opened, "Aurelia, what are you doing here? Is your leg alright now?"
The last time at the Nightshade Family, she had already revealed her true nature. It’s surprising that her acting skills are so good that she can still pretend to be gentle and caring in front of her.
Aurelia Shaw didn’t even glance in Eleanor Spencer’s direction. She raised her eyebrows and said in a low voice to Titan, "Director Titan, you must give me an explanation for this. Canceling my role over a few baseless rumors doesn’t seem fair."
"Rumors? What rumors? What role cancellation?" Eleanor Spencer asked, unabashed, with a puzzled look at everyone, prodding persistently.
Titan quickly reassured Eleanor Spencer, explained the situation to her in broad strokes, and then said, "It’s just a minor issue. I’ll handle it right away. Isabel, you head inside, go over the script for a bit, and once your makeup is done, we’ll start shooting. It definitely won’t delay the progress."
However, Eleanor Spencer didn’t leave. She frowned slightly and said righteously, "Director Titan, I think this needs to be investigated clearly. We can’t falsely accuse anyone."
Aurelia Shaw raised an eyebrow and looked at Eleanor Spencer. Could she be so kind-hearted? Then Eleanor Spencer’s following words made Aurelia understand her intentions.
She quietly glanced at Dovina, as if giving some kind of signal, and said, "If there is concrete evidence proving this matter, then... I think no one would question your decision."
"Exactly!" Dovina immediately caught on, stepped out, and pointed a finger at Aurelia, shouting loudly, "If there is solid evidence online proving you’re a filthy woman who climbed the ranks by relying on men, you wouldn’t have much to say, would you?"
Aurelia raised an eyebrow, thinking: What an idiot, she doesn’t even realize she’s being used. Standing out like that, whether it’s true or false, it’s only going to make people associate it with you. As for the person backing you, they’re much smarter than you are.
The entertainment industry is dirty, but the dirt is in the shadows, and nobody would outright say it.
The more someone lives amidst deceit and schemes, the more they will distance themselves from those who plot.
